Best ways to secure my wealth for political winter?

I considered it but decided not to. Because I cannot predict the future accurately enough to give people such advice.

But I can see that a storm is coming. How it will hit is hard to know.

What is the alternative? Pretend like a storm is not coming? Pretend like nothing is knowable? Business as usual?

My more specific advice is to not keep your money in flimsy or inflated investments. But I will not give investment advice more specific than that because it would be irresponsible.

Handling uncertainty and chaos is a good learning opportunity.

Can you please give some examples of flimsy or inflated investments?

Flimsy or inflated investment = an asset your average shoe-shine boy is pushing while shining your shoes.

In case you have no shoe-shine boy (my condolences), just go to your local McDonald's and ask everyone what are they invested in.

Right now tech stocks, AI, the S&P 500, and Bitcoin are all crazy peaking and over-valued.

We've been in bubble territory for the last 6 months. And it's only getting worse.

How long this madness lasts no one knows. But watch out.

@Leo Gura LOL S&P 500 is fine you just have to regurarly invest into it for the time frame of multiple decades. And it's not like you have a choice anyway. "S&P 500 is not safe" LMAO get outta here. Seriously

A 1990s Nikkei like crash and a multi decade bear market is definitely incoming. The only question is when.

My guess is that Trump will be pushing the stock market as much as he can because it would be the biggest dishonour for him if it failed during his presidency.

You must understand one thing: The stock market is not a representation of an actual economy and it can even be the opposite.

After Trump, there might be a socialist government and that's when the S&P is definitely going to crash.

If you want to be extra safe then invest into gold. But gold is only a mantainer of value, not increaser. Plus it's fairly difficult to turn it back into money, since it's also just an emergency fund for other people as well. So liquidity is low.

Then there's worse scenarios than a financial crash, but that's already a territory of survival prepping. Not exactly investing. Investing kinda assumes that things are going to remain fairly civilized in the future

That's super unlikely.

AI will have real gains across all sectors of the economy for decades to come.

Gold liquidity is not low. It just has a high cost to buy and sell hard gold.

Gold ETFs solve that matter.

Yes, AI is the future, but are you 100% sure the S&P won't be replaced by the Chinese stock market, the same way Nikkei was replaced by the S&P 500 in the 1990s?

You can invest into FTSE all world ETFs which track capitalization of companies around the whole world, even China. Althought it's still mostly made out of S&P 500 companies, it also includes some top companies from the rest of the world and even some emerging, not yet established markets

But Americans are still top economic players it seems, despite all the Chinese glazing happenning even here

@Leo Gura The best truth is sharing your own precautions that you're taking so you don't need to speculate. I am invested in crypto so I tell others to do it as well, its my true belief. If you believe in an alternative let us know I'd be curious where you have most of your net worth in.

Are you investing in or looking at any leading AI companies? If so, which ones are you looking to invest in or monitoring?

I have to be extra careful not to give investment advice. That would be a mistake for me to do.

It is not my place to tell you such detailed ways to run your life. It is my place to help you make sense of society in a big picture way. Then based on that sensemaking you can make your own micro management decisions.

I tend to be very conservative with my investments because I am paranoid of human mass delusions.

Right now I consider every tech company very over priced.

I would buy stuff if the market dropped.

I don't want to name specific companies because people will just mindlessly buy stuff without doing their own research and thinking.

So I bite my flapping tongue.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?
