Desire is the root of happiness if you know how to transmute it

You are like a frivolous pancake, dissolving in the void.

Unsatisfied or unsatiated desire..endless desires which don't end or amount to anything other than the expansion of thirst instead of quenching it are indeed part of the root of suffering.  Buddhism teaches this.

But also ..another factor which Buddhism doesn't teach is limitation . The fact that you appear to be a limited body is the root of suffering. i cant conceive of perfect happiness as long as I'm stuck in this body made of flesh and bones having to get  hungry and tired and depressed etc. Constantly

The only true happiness and boundless perfection is unlimitedness . But I have not the slightest clue how to get there. I'm afraid that physical death might be the only way .
