I think he did a awkward gesture symbolizing throwing his heart at everyone, then when liberals started saying it’s a nazi salute he did it again realizing it makes the left look hysterical and gets him attention.

One funny aspect of this is the ADL said it’s not a nazi salute. I agree with them but now liberal Jews are flipping out at them because they’ve built up a huge reputation of accusing rightwingers of antisemitism until recently when they shifted to accusing left wing anti Zionists.

@Leo Gura I’m in a cynical doom spiral right now after this Trump stuff. Astonishing that after everything he’s done (coup attempt), he got re-elected. The worst part is family members who you previously saw as reasonable go along with him and make excuses. Genuinely baffling.

Doesn’t matter if he’s a nazi or not. He did a nazi salute during the presidential inauguration and it was applauded and then hand waved away by nearly all in attendance. He did the Nazi salute because he’s emulating Trump’s playbook. Do some wild shit to get press and polarize people on your behalf. Make people defend you so they entrench themselves in your corner, which effectively creates a cult-like following. He will do more and more things like this, and it’s not because he’s simply against the woke mind virus. It seems like it would be political suicide, but so did trying to coup the government. The fact of the matter is, the citizens are too caught up in their own lives to care about a nazi salute or a government coup or a convicted felon with a several decades long history of con artistry . Half of them probably don’t even know what a Nazi salute or a Nazi is. The majority don’t care but the vocal minority opposition does, which is who the salute was intended for.

Reports are coming out they are already questioning government employees on political affiliations and he just signed and executive agreement to stop hiring all government employees (excluding specifics) until his government has “control”.
