How to trip without using drugs ?

How to trip without using drugs:
You go on youtube, you type trip report, click on a video, start watching and contemplating each point until you have insights that alter your state of consciousness. What psychedelics fundamentally do is open your mind, which is the same thing that asking questions do through contemplation.
For example if you hear “i forgot who my parents were, and what my job was” you contemplate “how can i forget who my parents are and what my job is?”  Until you have an insight that leads to an altered state of consciousness were you experience this forgetfulness.
So that’s just one example. This is the aim of proper philosophy to change your experiential reality by diving deep into the mechanics of consciousness.

Lucid dream (check out giz Edwards on YouTube), sensory deprivation float tanks, holotropic breath work. Also having an intense sexual experience can be transcendental.

Not really the same thing at all. If you watch a trip report it may open your intellectual mind, or imagination. But, it's not trip or altered state.

Tripping is so weird that, its hard to even know what tripping is—during, and after, it has happened... cause its like, effecting reality as you know it. it should be just brain stuff except its more like touching the kitchen counter, telekinetically or watever, such that you can feel the surface of it from a distance... inb4 the crisscross of sensations, and that is all to say that, its hard to know like, what that even is, as its transcendent of what we even understand, or that i feel we understand.

Fasting over an extend period is sth that changes my psychological / mental state tremendously. Not surprised you find this in shamanic / religious / spiritual context.

Long meditation retreats (10 days is my max) do so as well.

Of course it's not comparable to psychedelics and I would not call it tripping...but it's a very fun experience. Especially when combined with Yoga and meditation.

I did a breathwork session today that was rather psychedelic.

Once it happened I spontaneously asked myself, where is the I, and for a moment it was like I couldn’t locate myself. I’m not fully sure what that experience was but it felt kinda cool

It only happened once though. Nowadays I have a hard time believing something like contemplation could penetrate this self-structure that seems so strong

Caloric deficit feels kinda spiritual too for some reason. Like you feel lighter . Maybe it’s not comparable to fasting though.
