A genius and a true inspiration for artists.

What a loss.

there lay an invincible summer.

"So now the sadness comes.  The revelation.  There is a depression after an answer is given.  It was almost fun not knowing.  Yes, now we know.  At least we know what we sought in the beginning.  But there is still the question, why?  And this question will go on and on until the final answer comes.  Then the knowing is so full there is no room for questions."

Cowboy:

Quote

When you see the girl in the picture that was shown to you earlier today, you will say, "this is the girl". The rest of the cast can stay, that's up to you. But the choice for that lead girl is NOT up to you. Now... you will see me one more time, if you do good. You will see me... two more times, if you do bad. Good night.

Loved Mulholland Drive 👍

I think I’m going to watch it again soon.

I have no idea who David Lynch is, or that movie, but I love this song!

Is the song theme related to that movie?

I don’t think so.

I think Mulholland drive is a street near the Hollywood hills.

It’s a great very trippy movie though.

Oh, the cover art for that song is actually that sign!

RIP David Lynch. I really enjoyed Twin Peaks.

But I also like his other strange ideas... like his show Rabbits.

And his book about "Catching the Big Fish" is really helpful for people aspiring to be creative. I read it like 10 years ago or so and it opened me up to new ways of thinking about creativity.

Twin Peaks is one of a kind. I'm listening to a high level commemorative discussion on Lynch if anyone is interested, it's currently live:

Have not seen any of his work except Dune, which is a mixture of weirdness, grossness, and badness.

Iirc theres some interviews on yt about how the producers of that movie essentially mutilated the project + defiled his creative integrity

@Leo Gura I think he mentions Dune precisely as being one of the great sadnesses of his life because he did not have final cut, so he probably agrees with you, haha.

I don't see how final cut could have saved that film. Unless you leave 50% of it blank :D

But, yeah, I know he regrets it.

His other works are poor also.

The weirdness part is fine.

But the grossness and badness is omnipresent.
