My issue with the West isn’t the past - let the past be the past. It’s that even today we are behaving imperially, literally backing Israel in its ethnic cleansing / plausible genocide,  and not taking the institutions that we supposedly architected to help provide stability, accountability and leadership in the world is the ICJ and ICC.

”The CFA Franc is a colonial-era currency still used by 14 African countries, created by France in 1945 to maintain economic control over its former colonies. It is pegged to the euro, and member countries are required to deposit 50% of their foreign exchange reserves in the French Treasury. While France claims the CFA ensures stability, it significantly limits these countries’ monetary sovereignty.

Why It’s Bad:

    1.    Economic Dependency: The peg to the euro makes exports expensive and imports cheaper, stifling local industries and making these economies reliant on foreign goods.

    2.    Restricted Sovereignty: Countries can’t freely set monetary policies tailored to their needs, keeping them tied to French economic interests.

    3.    Wealth Extraction: France benefits from controlling the reserves, effectively maintaining a neocolonial grip on these economies.

The CFA is widely criticized for perpetuating economic underdevelopment and dependency, serving France’s interests at the expense of African nations’ growth and autonomy.“

That’s all true. But France has also done great things. The number of things that were invented in France in the last few hundred years is crazy and humanity is a lot better with these inventions. That’s what haters fail to acknowledge.

Things like

photography, cinema, blood transfusion, modern dentistry, aspirin, rabies vaccine, antibiotics, tuberculosis vaccine, submarine, helicopter etc.

You said soldiers for the Israeli side and the very next post you said Palestinian terrorists. But who gets to say who is the terrorist? The colonial powers? That's very biased.

How do we know that the IDF isn't the terrorist and the indigenous are just resistance freedom fighters?

By this I meant their armies and commanders. Every single IDF is a terrorist and every single politician and the generals in-between. How can they not be? From beginning until now means they have never wanted peace since the very beginning until this very day and any peace talks has been a distraction for more land grabbing

Hamas has makeshift weapons. Easy to accidentally kill someone

IDF has state of the art, high tech, ultra surveillance radar, drones, satellite, ultra precise and accurate weaponry. No excuse to kill even one innocent 

Who treats the hostages better? Israel who blows up the entire Gaza Strip when looking for hostages they are wanting to bring back home. Meanwhile they take Palestinian hostages and torture them 

Or Hamas who only takes hostages as a way to leverage a deal for freedom and they come back smiling happy as a clam

How innocent are they really? If you vote for terrorist Netanyahu and are causing the suffering of a people because you take their spot on limited land? These people know EXACTLY the dangers. They choose to stay. 

Are the Israeli settlers who are illegally occupying with force innocent? Did you know American Jews are buying up more land in West Bank even TODAY. But you don't give a shit

That is called a prisoner of war.

Not much different than a Hamas soldier being released from captivity.

Calling Hamas or IDF terrorists is purely bias selfish agendas.

Both sides do this.

Truth being that a Hamas militant is not any better or worse than an IDF soldier.

Hence to me it is the equivalence of Israel releasing 4 19 year old Hamas militants from its captivity

Either Hamas or the IDF got any qualms about killing civilians and they hate the other side to death so lets not pretend that 1 side is much better than the other.

The Gaza war has shown both sides are full of murderous insanity.
