How to progress well if you have lack of energy

18 posts in this topic

I do not want to discuss what the culprit is. This is a very complex matter that I'm working on for years and will take some time, if ever it will be solved.

This is about how to live as well as possible and to progress through life, while having a low level of physical drive/energy...

  • Having little motivation, no enthusiasm at all, only feeding on hope
  • Having little mental energy for imagination, planning, seeing a big picture
  • Being undecided, having poor judgement
  • Not being light on your feet, being sluggish

So I'm speaking about times where you have to endure something like that without..

  • getting addicted to caffeine
  • getting stuck to Youtube or social media for stimulation
  • feeling under pressure not to get hopeless
  • getting lazy and doing everything the easy way (fast food, watching shows)

Presence. Deep breathing. Relaxing the body. Reducing stress, neurosis. All those things can make your system need less energy to work (a more stressed state takes more energy for example) .

Relaxation definitely helps. I do shavayatra, basically a yogic form of muscle relaxation and feel a lot better afterwards

Having some sort of low energy hobby might help you put your mind at ease

  • jigsaw puzzle / board games with other people (or solo)
  • creative/crafting hobby - painting, drawing, knitting, jewellery crafting, bonsai keeping,  DIY of any kind
  • getting a dog with more laid back personality
  • cooking can become a creative hobby if that's something you would enjoy
  • reading story books instead of self development literature (or audio books)
  • very mild activities in nature like birdwatching, stargazing, photography (if that's your thing)
  • a mountain bike with electric assistance engine could help you go in nature while exerting little of your own energy

Thank you, that are valuable recommendations :)

This took a very long time for me to figure out but the cause for procrastination or being stuck in bad habits is lack of energy or bad vibe. You need to fix your vibe through taking care of your body, stopping porn, and taking care of your soul (fixing your samsara / trauma) and feeding your soul through quality time with yourself. Joe Dispenza’s work in cutting edge on this topic. He is undervalued on this forum while a lot of people have mental, spiritual and physical trouble on this forum. So I would definite read his latest book.

Have you ever found yourself "tired" one moment, only to have that change all of a sudden? Notice none of what you mentioned is physical but is rather a conceptually-based activity. Not doing those frees up so much energy.

Likely your dilemma is about mental limitations.

If you have serious health problem, you need to fix them by getting professional help.

However I have one advise from my personal experience, i.e. problem of lack of energy cannot be solved in the head.

At one stage in of my life i used to be lethargic and sleepy whole day. I had alot of opinions and long medical history of many problems too. But I just started a basic gym routine, Nothing fancy just going to gym daily and doing whatever i could, Running, walking doing few machines and Moving along to difficult stuff as it got easier. Wasn't thinking about any progress at all. Gradually i improved my eating too.

Only thing i did was being consistent and over the period of 2-3 years i was able to make huge progress. It turned out all my learned beliefs about myself were wrong. Most probably i wouldn't be alive by now, if i didn't start that routine.

I wasn't able to solve all my problems, some are still there, but i wasn't my best self by a long shot.

Basically you learn a different way of living by doing it and it takes time.

You need a life coach that will make decisions for you so you don’t need to think anymore.

Your default thinking process is broken and Daily tasks need to be automatically chosen for you so you no longer have control.

For example you could prepare 14 meals on Monday and put them in the Tupperware‘s and then every day when it’s time to eat you take one meal out and you eat it.

This removes the burden of choice.

Choice is the enemy, set up systems to remove choice from the equation.

Your effectiveness in life depends on the systems you have built.

If you do this you will condition your brain even more to function in a feminine way, it is to push back the Oedipal detachment even further.

With seminal retention, the motor drive occasioned on the contrary pushes one to undertake actions, make decisions and this progressively reconditions the brain/ego/persona towards a more masculine and tough version.

Btw, I don't have lack of energy anymore
Now I have a good amount of it, but being nervous, neurotic, unfocused, unclear xD

It's better though. With energy you can at least work on yourself a lot
