An insight.

I have a great focus. Just that it isn't in the right direction.

I wonder what it would look like if I focused on my studies/work in the same way as I do on the forum?

So a little experiment I can do :

First focus on what's easy or interesting (for example, this forum or YouTube educational videos). Then, shift this focus to the so-called boring or hard tasks.

Why we can't focus on hard things like Maths or Physics? Cz our mind always tends to spend the least energy and do the least effort in everything. It conserves mental energy. It doesn't want efforts.

📌 A commitment :

I will make a to-do list every single day. From Jan 15, 2025. And this is my accountability journal. ❤️

Many successful people have overcome mental disorders, ADHD, or humble beginnings by leveraging their unique strengths. Here's a path you can consider:

1. Self-Awareness: Understand your strengths and challenges. ADHD OFTEN BRINGS CREATIVITY AND ENERGY—use them. 📌

2. Start Small: Learn a valuable skill, solve a problem, or create something meaningful. Begin where you are.

3. Persistence: Success often comes from consistency and learning from failures.

4. Network: Build connections with people who inspire and challenge you.

5. Leverage Your Condition: Many successful people have turned their struggles into superpowers. ADHD CAN MEAN HYPER-FOCUS ON THINGS YOU'RE PASSIONATE ABOUT. 📌

6. Keep Learning: Nobody starts knowing everything. Commit to lifelong growth.

Being a "nobody" today doesn’t define your future. Most self-made billionaires started with little—what matters is the journey and what you make of it.

An Important Note to Myself.

I'm at a very critical and decisive point right now.

•••••••

A few things to do from this point

❤️ Sacrifice a lot. Be willing to sacrifice anything and everything for your goals. Yes, it's painful but it's very beautiful too.

❤️ Be in that zone, no matter how lonely it is. I mean, 99% of your mental space should be filled with things related to your goals. Be busy in acquiring knowledge 24x7.

❤️ Turn your weaknesses (ADHD) into strengths. Your mind races all the time. You get jazzed up and overwhelmed seeing every great thing. Your ADHD brings a hell lot of energy...... So use them !!! You have this ability to hyperfocus on things you're passionate about. (You just need a slight shift in direction, a slight push...).

❤️ Make to-do lists relentlessly  (Studies and Hobbies). Accomplish them. And journal about them.

❤️ In your free time (when you need some break), you can use social media (Forum, Instagram, News, etc.) and complete less important tasks.

Many things seem important but they are not actually important. So your priorities must be very clear.

Let's go...

Edit :

I won't be able to forgive myself if I couldn't complete my Science education.

Fuck perfectionism.

Diagnose ADHD.

My score was approx. 14 in this test. I have ADHD for sure.

I loved this video :

https://m.youtube.com/@DocSnipes/playlists

I wanna watch 100s of her videos. They are so insightful.

•••••

Some excerpts from the video :

Giftedness and ADHD can co-occur and actually often do, so the person who's gifted, their brain moves really quickly ..... so they may have more difficulty being still because their brain is going so fast.

In girls the disorder typically presents as inattentive or dreamy, the people who are biologically female may tend to stare out windows or drift off mid-conversation versus being hyperactive.

ADHD is not a character flaw, it's just a different wiring.

ADHD recovery is a team effort. If a person wants to address the symptoms that are causing them difficulty with integrating with neurotypical friends and family members, then it's going to require everybody to understand what's going on.

ADHD does respond well to medication..... however pills do not give skills, medication may help the person slow down and not be bombarded by as much stimulus but it doesn't help them become assertive, it doesn't help them become suddenly more organized,  it doesn't help them with a lot of those things, so what the medication does is lay the foundation so the person can more effectively learn......

other great videos :

Jan 15, 2025.

✓ When I realise my capabilities and strengths, I get jazzed up. It creates tremendous amount of motivation in me. I start asking myself, "where on earth I had lost this motivation?".

•••••

✓ Today I watched some of my watch later videos (informative videos) at 2x on YouTube. I get excited when some good knowledge comes to me. My mind was racing. Felt good to see my speed.

✓ Made a to-do list. Wasn't fully committed. Couldn't focus on my studies whole day. Shame. (I realise I can't half-ass my studies, it requires total commitment and some aggression every single day).

•••••

✓ Sometimes when I get excited, my brain starts racing at breakneck speed.

When do I get excited or hyperactive?

  1. Listening to high energy music.
  2. Watching some great youtube videos and getting too much of cool information in less time.
  3. I am doing something but I have less time. Or if there's a sense of urgency.
  4. I'm in a hurry when I want to finish my "less important" things quickly....... so that I quickly move on to my "most important" things. 📌
  5. I'm in a hurry when I spend too much time on something due to my perfectionism habit. 📌
  6. I get any exciting knowledge or insight or anything.

•••••

❤️ Now I have to test whether I can channel that energy, speed, hyperactivity, etc. into studying Physics Maths Chemistry.

✓ Of course, I do have periods when I am low on energy. And also periods when I am calm & focused (usually in the morning after waking up). I'm not hyperactive all the time.

💜 Note :

Always make detailed to-do lists. Not casually but seriously. You have to have only small bite-sized tasks on your to-do list. 💜

I have racing thoughts. Impulsive thoughts. "Let's do this" "let's do that" "this idea" "that idea" ...etc.

My brain is running fast.

I also realize that I can channel this hyperactivity into my chemistry chapters I am studying right now.

I realize I can study with breakneck speed.

I also know how I can make myself speedy or motivated any time and anywhere, IF I WANTED TO.

I'm not strong physically. I have low energy. But still my brain runs very fast sometimes

It could be because your physical energy and mental energy operate differently. Hyperactivity and a speedy brain may come from mental overstimulation, stress, or anxiety, while low physical energy could result from poor sleep, diet, hydration, or even medical conditions like ADHD, thyroid issues, or chronic fatigue. Balancing both might require lifestyle adjustments or consulting a doctor.

•••••

I am not feeling well mentally. Brain is not feeling good. A very subtle and mild pain is there.

•••••

Bottom line : I have a gifted brain 🧠.
