For Those of You Who Got Pregnant in Your 40s

2 posts in this topic

Hello everyone,

My wife and I are on a hopeful journey of trying to conceive, and we’d love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation. I’m 36 (5’11, 230–240 lbs), and my wife is 41 (5’0, 160–170 lbs).

We’ve taken some steps to prepare ourselves, including visiting a fertility clinic, getting all the necessary tests done, and understanding where our levels stand. While my wife did not freeze her eggs, we’re both committed to doing everything we can to improve our chances. We’re both taking prenatal vitamins, and we’re actively working on improving our overall health and reducing weight to optimize our fertility.

If you’ve been successful in getting pregnant in your 40s, we’d love to hear your story!

    •    Did you conceive naturally, or did you need assistance (IUI, IVF, etc.)?

    •    Are there any specific tips, tricks, or advice you’d recommend that helped you along the way?

    •    Anything you wish you had known when you started trying to conceive?

We know this can be a sensitive topic, but we’re so grateful for any insights, encouragement, or advice you can share.

Thank you so much, and wishing the best for everyone on their own journeys!
