I have been waiting for that one. I did quite a bit of contemplation on the model. I reflected on values, the question of universal values and how does it all fit in a big picture. I also like to think about how such a concept can be transferred into something useful beyond understanding just for the sake of understanding (which is still my primary objective btw).

What's missing in the video, "How to distinguish lower vs higher perspectives."

Lower perspectives disregard health—physical, mental, family, and environmental—and often encourage or brag about substance abuse. Higher perspectives value health in all forms and prioritize well-being for themselves, others and the planet. 

If this was mentioned in the video, apologies, but this is worth repeating. If more examples come to me I'll post. Best video posted here all year!

@Vibes Well actually I wasn't looking for quick juice, my intention was to look at a "thing" from different perspectives. It's like you can check out a book summary or book reviews to either get a quick hit of a thing, or to expand your mind to have different approaches before exploring that book.

By looking at different angles you can avoid the expectations trap to a big degree, though sure there does lead to some expectation bias going into a thing.

@Leo Gura Great video so far Leo .. though I think some of us know who that person is with the 5000 year old theory of the earth lol .. to be fair I think he may have outgrown all that (if we're thinking the same person) 

Also I'm 1.5 hours in, and not sure if you covered this, but I'd be interested to here your take on Elon Musk. He is going on this crusade against pakistani people in a similar way Kanye West did with jewish people. I'm sensing he has a larger political agenda with Trump related to blocking off immigrants. I can see how this is having a larger impact on societal thinking. 

But on a healthier note, there's an aspect of creativity here, as you can now more consciously choose your perspectives, in this case higher quality perspectives, to think about life, create the life you want, even creating a product in business. Really interesting. I could feel myself going into a meditation as I saw so many of my biases, "holding on to things", assumptions, etc. and become more free to more consciously choose what perspectives or lens to try on. I think that's a great skill to develop from this episode.

I did do the epistemic work regarding Christ teachings, but you conveniently disregard this. You also conveniently disregard that this path is extremely narrow and so hardly anyone can just reach this state, so it's easy enough to target Christ followers who have not become Christ themselves.

@Leo Gura I wanted to ask that in life there is a huge quantity of perspective from the people around us . Like in my situation some people bullied me , abused me and called me childish, inferior. They said - You never had a girlfriend and never will get a girlfriend. - Is this kind of perspective negative , false, inaccurate ? What's the difference between a limiting belief and a high quality perspective ?

 

Also as per one of my previous question . Is taking action with full attention to present moment on what I am doing or action with being hopeful for the future is better way to act ?

I am currently busy these weeks so I cannot give proper feedback, rewatching and independent contemplation; but I wanted to say a few things.

There is a substantial difference in the workings of your mind. In which way? No blind spots

That's how I felt it when I was seeing you operate. Obviously there are always blind spots but that was the tacit feeling I got: Oh wow there are barely no blind spots in Leo's Mind. There is a surprising granularity, cohesion and holism in its workings.

I've better understood now where you want Actualized.org to go and I second the ground you plan to cover.

I've also understood a structure style point of your videos, you do all the contemplative work and then you report it. In a sense that's very nice but it also puts you "in character" and I realized this when you got out of characted and challenged yourself mid video to explicate the connection between demonization and lower perspectives. From that point on you entered into the zone and you worked through it more, rather than "sharing the fruits of the work or reading the essence and presenting it" you participated more deeply into the contemplative process itself. I liked that, it makes the communication more fresh, alive and in the moment. So I would encourage to put yourself in challenging situations one hour into the recording process, that enhances your sharpness of mind and the passion you put in communicating. Challenge rises your perspective.

Lastly, I really hope to see your highest work soon. I love the potential and trajectory this series is taking I just hope it doesn't take an eternity to become super juicy (for the point I'm at). The difference in my mind is the following: with this part 1 I'll get the most juice when I run it properly through my mind for weeks to come, with part 3 I'll get it from the very first moment you open your mouth. So just a selfish remark, I hate it when you do such a sublime foundational work and don't fully build the skyscraper on top of it. It's a magnificent part 1 episode honestly, therefore it is my earnest desire to see it come to full fruition.

Bro, the quality of a perspective is determined by how true it is.

So, do you grant your bullies the truth that you are a child? If not, proof that you are a grown up man. Proof that their perspective is low quality.
