Let's decode : Prostitution is good or bad?

136 posts in this topic

Prostitution can be viewed differently depending on cultural, moral, and legal perspectives. Some argue it's a personal choice, while others believe it exploits individuals.

💛 What happens in prostitution (I mean, how are humans exploited in it, if it's a consensual sex for money?)

💛 If it's bad, then why (if it's consensual) ?

I think it's a sign of low consciousness individuals, but that's just dogma, I don't know exactly why. So I'm questioning it.

Write short, to-the-point answers.

Two perspectives are there: social and philosophical. On philosophical level, morality doesn't exist.

I know people who have been to South East Asia and there is a massive industry there, because of survival unfortunately. Then consumers can be very aware, Victor Hugo loved prostitutes lol, and talked about them in his book and his social speeches. Then well, the problem is that it ruins the link to normal sexuality, like a construction worker ruins his physical condition

Forced prostitution is bad ofc .

But if they make a choice to do it than who are we to judge .

4000 BC:

The Sumerian clergy sought to build cities to remove humanity from the "almighty" food chain. However, to make the wild man fit into city life, they introduced Enkidu (a feral man unfamiliar with civilization or femininity) to a woman. Against his will, she stripped him of his wild habits. Once "civilized," Enkidu cursed those who had sent her, lamenting his lost freedom. The entire story is etched onto ancient stone tablets—quite the drama.

Their chief goddess, Inanna—precursor to other sexual feminine deities like Aphrodite—was attributed with the art of prostitution, among other gifts from various gods. Unlike today’s all-knowing monotheistic gods, these deities were more psychological in nature, their myths far more intricate and relatable.

Even the king of the city participated in a sacred ritual during the New Year, where he was obliged to have intercourse with a temple priestess to ensure the year’s abundance. It was a cultural norm deeply tied to their worldview.

Fast forward to today, and we have "pixel prostitution" alongside the physical kind. Some do it to raise their kids like any other woman; others do it for personal gain. Is it exploitative? Maybe. But as Terence McKenna points out, ideas like "one man, one vote" often rely on deep-seated cultural brainwashing. It’s not inherently good or bad—it’s simply culture, and culture is not our friend.

This means we must be selective about the ways we deceive ourselves. Morality doesn’t inherently exist; it’s a construct. Yet the true danger is you might end up beneath the good and the bad.

If someone slaps you, none of you are going to talk about constructs. You were harmed from someone doing something to you without your consent. Fine. We’ll talk about harms and consent without tying it to morality. Whatever.

Now then, when it comes to harm and consent, funny enough, the prevailing attitude is to not care about hurting others with what we do with our bodies. But contradictory, they will simultaneously care about other people’s bodies and what they can do with it. Like if a 14 year old girl consented to marrying a 50 year old man. Here, even if we magically knew he would treat her right and she will always be content being with him, and we create a culture where it’s normalized and all that stuff, we still view it as wrong because It sets a problematic precedent, where others can potentially be hurt as a result of the risks associated with being in this type of situation. Interesting logic… Interesting double standard in relation to being pro-prostitution…

We also don’t dare to tell mothers and fathers of dead children who committed suicide to not be hurt. That it was their body, their choice, and they should be happy with the choice they made for themselves. No here we don’t treat humans as psychopaths, and we respect the psychological toll inflicted. But we do seemingly taunt people who are tormented by their loved ones being prostitutes. Morality is just a construct bro. Who are they hurting, man? Their body, their choice and plus, it’s legal. They take the strictest precautions, dude. You’re hurt on a psychological level? You’re just insecure and must really be sexually repressed.

If we take the first example of risks, then the logic should be consistently applied.

If we understand that it’s hurtful for parents of kids who committed suicide, even if we knew that’s what the kid truly wanted and would make him happy eternally, none of it matters. We still respect the psychological toll the parents go through and we don’t judge the hurt they go through. Why can’t it be the same for those tormented by their loved ones being semen dumpsters from auctioning themselves off as, essentially, sex slaves for randoms? There’s a biological component to this anyways, specifically, as it relates to sensitivity to disgust. People with higher levels of disgust have an impossible time tolerating these types of human behavior. You know.. kind of like how some with their own sexual orientation have an impossible time changing it.

Buying sex is most of the time exploitation. Because a prostitute doesn’t chose her work from her free will it’s usually economic circumstances, drug abuse, other problems making her turn to prostitution in desperation or being forced or coerced by someone. That’s the majority of it. Selling sex isn’t like any other job because it’s something intimate.

Let's decode: Men that love to see prostitutes, strippers and escorts - good or bad.

Stigma and only the ones you hear about. Do you ever see on the news marriages that are doing just fine, people who are very happy in life, relationships that are very nourishing to both partners, people who love their jobs, families that are caring, loving and kind to each other, the perfect friendships, people living without trauma etcetcetc - you get the drift. No need to do documentaries on these kinds of people. They would bore the public to death, but they do exist.

No, men should have standards.

Why don't we ever talk about men and their whoring ways. Why are men so willing to have sex with strange women they don't even know. Why are men looking to have sex with multiple women in a week. Why are men going to these pros and why is the industry so massive and lucrative, whether being exploited or not. Why are there no male stripper joints all around town for women to patronize and why are so many men chasing after women just to get in their pants.

C'mon let's start exploring these matters and so much more when it comes to men and their whorish ways. We need men to make these businesses possible and without them, they couldn't and wouldn't exist.

Take a look into biology . Males and females have different sexual strategies to ensure their survival, it's not that hard .

Because there isn't much demand for it .

Latina escorts are soft and silky creatures to have sex with.

Historically a woman having sex with the whole tribe makes it impossible for her and everyone else to know who the father is. A man can think he’s the only one having sex with her, but only she will actually know. The man doesn’t carry the baby, the woman does. Full stop. This harlot can also pass STDs to her child as the most common transmission occurs from mother to child. It’s because of these things that we don’t have the parity that you want to see.

Exactly. You're making my point even more. So why are women's survival strategies the one that's look down upon. At least in this case for the women they don't have to lie about what they're up to to survive; men are constantly lying to keep up with their sexual survival needs but we constantly say how the former is low conscious. There are multiple ways of ensuring one's survival and please don't tell me that having sex frivolously with countless women is one of them.

“The vast majority of STD transmission to babies (approximately **95-99%**) occurs from the **mother**, with a very small percentage (around **1-5%**) potentially attributed to the **father**, typically in cases like **herpes** or **HPV**.”

- ChatGPT

And then we wonder why we are more disgusted with female sexuality than male sexuality.

I'm not sure what it is you think I want to see and I'm sorry, but your explanation still haven't touched the point on why it's OK for men to whore down the town just for kicks, but for women making a living at it is so wrong.
