I'm too lazy to get into it here, but yes there are mystical and practical benefits.

Do y'all have any effective techniques to induce crazy dreams like girl above is talking about ?

Or lucid dreams

Irregular sleep patterns, sleep deprivation, and for me sleeping in, can contribute to getting sleep paralysis. Then what I do to astral project, sometimes it’s spontaneous but I kinda focus my attention on some location outside my body then I will separate and float towards there, then I can float outside or to other rooms

I like it. I can float up until the sky, or under the ground, where it looks dark and like inside of a mountain. I can float around the neighborhood. It usually lasts only for a short time, I don’t know why, maybe I need to master it more, but I tend to reach a point very quickly where I return to my body or wake up or something

I only need practical benefits .I have been to couple of astrologers their predictions are kinda vague .

Interesting . Can I reach that state without sleep deprivation or psychedelics ?

In my case it appeared without wanting it, i was tired and sometimes confused, in the morning i felt a vibration on the side of my skull before feeling myself "leaving" in a kind of lucid dream or astral travel, hard to say, and i came back to reality in a panic most of the time.

Something like that happened to me two weeks ago, i was conscious enough to play at getting closer to the dream or reality consciously, it was weird because focusing on the dream made me come back to reality and to get closer it was a more twisted effort that i do not control.

Yes but you you're not normal you're an alien.

So maybe that’s because I’m laying down and my brain thinks I’m asleep but I’m well rested enough so I remain awake and have sleep paralysis. Due to my brain being in a awake state and maybe having those “conscious” neurotransmitters you mentioned

Yes

That makes me wanna try sleep deprivation lol

Worst rabbit hole 😅 smokes changa instead.

Cool didn’t know. Seems there’s a link between the science and spirituality.

Low glutamate feels like severe depression (or on the contrary great comfort, it's very individual) where things seem unreal, looking at a cloud in the sky seems cartoonish or something.
High doses of Ketamine are one of the strangest feelings in the world, with this feeling of unreality and distance.

High glutamate feels like a manic, excited state with an attraction to order, hygiene etc and possibly some sociopathic behaviors.

The vibrations spinal cord thing made me think of that, but maybe it has nothing to do with it of course.

I have experimented with it a bit.

This is a failed case since I didn't continue with it, but I could return to it later.

Basically I am meditating with pranayama and trataka and other weirder stuff for seven hours everynight.

I was inspired because Sri Aurobindo in the Alipore Jail fasted for ten days and would only sleep every three days.

and that's when this was:

Food deprivation probably increases serotonin because of the lack of calories, and the use of ketone bodies is supposed to make you feel a little more "drunk".

I don’t need either or them to reach it. It happens spontaneously for me. Recently it can be in the morning when I sleep for longer than I need

She will soon be able to spy on me in front of adult films, so not for everyone.
Besides, imagine that i am already spied on in this way.

What a filthy egregor.

Oh I thought you spiritual guys controlled it .

Maybe it's a neural disfunction or something that people confuse for a spiritual experience .

You seem to have pretty good knowledge about this stuff are you a Med student ?

@Sugarcoat Okay understood it happens without effort .

Did this happened laying down resting or being up and going?

The spinal cord is maybe connected to the chakras, the energy centers. So sleep paralysis vibrations maybe is both neurological and spiritual. It was during them I heard that female voice tell me something.

Jokes aside I actually tested this during the astral projection. I floated around my apartment to try to spot a detail on my mom for example something she says so I can then wake up and tell her I heard it. It didn’t work though because what happens was that I saw things that weren’t there so while my mom was in her room instead I saw her in the kitchen so it seems that the astral world isn’t exactly like the real world

They are both different ways to conceptualise the same phemonemon.

The "astral world" in this case will be a different frequency, what is projected will be different from the usual maya for your ego. Technically i think it would be a mistake to think you could spy on someone via the astral plane from a non-dual point of view, it would in fact simply be clairvoyance, and clairvoyance of a frequency, of the usual ego which is not the case here.

If what i say makes sense.
