Universal High Income with AI Humanoid Robots

Recently Elon Musk talked about how there will be Universal High Income instead of Universal Basic Income, in the good AI scenario.

Do you think this will ever be possible as humanoid robots become able to do most of our jobs?

They made all sorts of promises that these automations and shortcuts would help the consumer save yet prices go up every year  

corporations will just split bigger profits until there is a massive backlash

When we achieve fusion, a lot of new opportunities will be unlocked that previous energy constraints made unfeasible - stuff like desalination with which we will have essentially unlimited water for agriculture, reversing deserts, etc. This will shift fundamentally economics from a scarcity-based model (supply-demand) to one where we essentially have abundance. As such, as long as we don’t fall down some of the unsustainable game A trajectories (think Orwellian), universal high income shouldn’t be that far off.

Why would they be unsustainable? Curious to see how you see it. You have read the book haven't you. With the kind of technologies we are going to have, the only way they'd be unsustainable is if elites fough against each other due to their own greediness and ambitions. Somehow creating a chaos and an opportunity for change. Which is precisely a scenario that is prevented in the book by elites spying on each other. I suppose the book is not very realistic at all tho as nobody would want such a system as it would benefit noone.

@Juns I don't know he seems to be an impulsive liar. I don't know why a billionaire feels like they need to do that. There's a video where he top character in path of exile and he's moving around grabbing items he shouldn't and throwing away top tier items cause they are lower level. He throws the best item in the game for a 10x shittier one cause its higher level.

I was just confused as to why he would lie. people who lie usually do it for some personal gain. in this case, it would be so easy to find out if he was actually saying the truth or not, so it confused me as to why he would risk his reputation.

Since he is a gamer he must want to seem like he's the best and is doing it the same way he became the richest with his other companies. Grift.

This is a good analogy to the way he is with any subject he knows. He has enough money to look good on the surface but is retarded when analyzed by someone who knows anything about the topic he's faking understanding with.
