However, isn't the CIA part of the deep state? If it is then aren't they able to pressure Trump to sign onto pro-Western policies such as continuing to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia?

How do we approach this in terms of practical actions though. How much bullshit should we tolerate from people like Musk just because they bring a lot of value to the world?

Should we ignore the damage he is doing to the media landscape with twitter? Should we let the nazi salutes slide?

Is it actually okay for him to kill 10 babies because of the other lives he saved? Should we tolerate it as long as he "keeps up the great work" in general?

I don't have a good answer.

But tolerating falsehood is not necessary. Falsehood should be challenged.

But it's important to keep the materialist perspective of value in the back of your mind because material survival conditions run the world.

The real answer here is to distinguish where Musk is doing good and where he is doing bad. Making tech like cars and rockets is good. Corrupt politics, egotism, corrupting Twitter, dancing with Nazis is bad.

In the absolute sense of course the good comes with the bad.

But people can also improve. We are not asking Musk to be perfect or to change his past. Really all we are asking is for him to humble himself a bit and reflect on how his own egotism is hurting society.

This is also something that would benefit his own spirit. Being an egotistical jackass is causing him needless pain.

That is an understatement. The sum total of everybody on this forum plus extended family and probably more .

This guy has so much power and he stays so moral. Most of us would go ape shit if we only had 5% of the power he has. Look at the free speech he provided on X. Or how he helps Ukranians with his platforms.

And the thing is that he doesn't even have to work and just live his life and shoot shit. Instead he is working like a work horse. The guys definitely has some weird quirks and some screws loose but most of us have.

I used to think similarly a few months ago. But now recently he’s attacked democracy in Europe now i think he’s actually very dangerous.

I don’t like to nitpick people like that and give them the benefit of the doubt. We don’t have an option anyway. Rather look at all his admirable traits than to his few weird quirks; and try to have 0.001% impact he has. Just buckle up and enjoy the ride because “I said you so” won’t change the ride from now on.
