I was not discussing Tesla's morality here, merely its stock price.

Robotics is going to have a huge impact on society, in positive and negative ways.

Ok it just seemed that you are still defending this guy who just got very good at fooling a bunch of people, and that is my honest opinion of him that he is not very different from a Putin character.

I think one of the reasons Putin was/is still able to hold onto power and get away with being a murderer, was because he exuded more capabilities/intelligence to the general public.

Yes people can be easily tricked by that kind of being.

Do you think robotics will help humans self-actualize more in the long run? I mean if we polish the technology enough we can offload brute force stuff to robots and build enough infrastructure so people can self-reflect and enter into higher domains of abstraction; and also increase their consciousness doing inner work and contemplation. Do you think this is to naive of a future scenario? Or maybe too optimistic lol

Why humanoid robots specifically?

We're specifically humans and not robots so of course we'd be obsessed with making ourselves, fake it till you make it. If we knew how we were made we would essentially become robotic - understood and replicable. All of medicine prioritizes human intervention over other forms of life.

What's the easy way out of finding a great social partner? An hyper advanced AI one that teaches you with no ego and makes you into a "fake person". It would be like getting a click remote that allows you to manipulate time with no social consequence. People who want this will develop it and those who are fine without it will still use it because it will improve them.  You don't think people wouldn't pay the price of a diamond ring for a humanoid? It's the most universally lucrative form of a machine I reckon. If it existed it would be able to create any other machine.

It would solve medicine and it would bolster our sociability. communication and skillset. Monkey see, monkey do!

In the very long run, once all the social and political problems are sorted out, yes.

Or, robots and AI may just replace humans. That's also very possible.

Frankly, most humans have no need to exist soon.

Not if humans wake up. Robotics cannot surpass the highest levels of awakening. It will always be less conscious no matter what it looks like on the surface.

And it is up to "humans" as to how to design them and regulate them, if they do not fall into the hands of criminals and dictatorship alliances.

It can help humans to awaken by reducing survival needs.

And thank goodness. Most shouldn't exist now I feel like, but I guess they do serve some meager purpose.

When so many idiots who live off welfare voted against their own interests (i.e. trailer park people in red states) when they elected Trump and Elon, how can you not expect my respect in humanity to crash? Majority of Americans WANTED or were apathetic towards this ish. Fuck'em.

I understand why that seems frustrating.

But it isn't going to turn this ship around to feed this pessimism.

I'm pretty certain that a lot of the people who joined maga are seriously self deceived and do not have ill will. The ones who may have illl will are in the minorities (who generally will have more influence and money). That is my assessment of this. I really think most people are simply tricked by a demon(s).

Doesn't seem like a big market to me for such a large business investment in research and development. We've had robots for decades in manufacturing, not humanoid because there's no need for it, we have robot sweepers and lawn mowers, I expect a robotic home kitchen, but I don't see a use for humanoid robots except for what you bring up. Siri type voice command devices seem like a human machine interface that works well.

Oh, I have a plan to get stuff like telepathy, telekinesis, remote viewing, seeing other planes, awakening, and stuff taught in school so that kids are wired into it from a young age and we grow up awakened. And we can get it to where the whole planet has an intersubjective view of energies and other planes. All humans will maximize all of their positive qualities and abilities and will be God expressing itself through God-Realized beings. Beauty, Power, Intelligence, Knowledge, Interconnection, Love, Joy, meaning, energy, context, nonlinearity, abstraction, emanation.

Humans and matter will be physically perfected.

Genetic engineering could also play a role. You would have the current bans they have on that.

Not sure that he's "panicking" as he clearly acts as though he has immunity for every action..

Let's talk House of Cards; the secret sauce of Elon's branding of himself as a genius. SpaceX is valued at $350B on just $10B revenue—a 35X multiple. Carlos Slim pulled his $7B Starlink contract, so revenue dropped to $3B. What’s SpaceX worth now? Even if SpaceX monopolized all satcom orbital launches worldwide, they wouldn’t break even. And besides, every nation has or is building its own launch capability. SpaceX was always a Starlink delivery vehicle—for an overpriced, non-scalable service.

Why does Elon's valuation game matter? Because "the richest man in the world" isn’t sitting on $600B in a checking account. He lives off loans backed by his company’s stock—aka billionaire margin life. And guess what? He’s been selling.

Newest episode of the podcast “Tech Won’t Save Us” was all about Musk and the fake value of his companies. Specifically how close Tesla actually is to collapse and how Musk is stuck, if he starts selling then margin calls happen, which then target more margin calls. Like a game of jenga, if Tesla collapses Musk is dead broke and in billions in debt. As far as actual cash money, he is essentially broke right now.
