To see Musk in a positive light is the same level of delusion as seeing Trump in a positive light. Also, to hope Musk will change is as ridiculous as hoping Trump will change. The idea is fantasy. Also, if Musk died today, someone else would create the cars and the rockets. He's no longer a gift to mankind, he's a detriment and likely always will be.

If truth is the guide, there's no need for ideology, right or left.

Maturity in discussion means the ability to separate ideas from identity so one can easily recognize new, irrefutable information as valid, and to fully integrate it into one’s perspective—even if it challenges deeply held beliefs. Both recognition and integration are crucial: the former acknowledges truth, while the latter ensures we are guided by it.

Easy to say once the innovation and investment has been done and borne fruit.

This is like some planted and watered an acorn for 30 years, and now you sleep in the shade of the tree and tell him to fuck off, we don't need you anymore, while he is still planting and watering new acorns.

He's no longer a gift to mankind

He's still working on important new tech.

Don't be so dismissive on innovation. Innovation is rare and require genuine leadership. It's not automatic.

I don't see the point in respecting/revering a tree that once bared good fruit but now produces only poison, even if it's good fruits once contributed greatly to the tribe. I just don't get it. I say down with the tree and never look back. Your position seems sentimental to me. It's perplexing. It almost seems like a difference in empathy but I suspect it's probably to do with lack of appreciation for what it took to get from A to B. I tend to focus on what's ahead. I do reflect on what it took to get here, but then I move on. It's very possible I don't spend enough time in appreciation.

Right! Hitler wasn't all bad. You gotta give him his Jew.

I don't see that you even comprehend the tree's import. Never mind revering it.

You don't even understand what Musk accomplished because you have some agenda to advance.

Exactly. This is the foolishness of a Marxist.

Down with the banks!

It's preplexing because you haven't built anything serious in your life. All talk, not a billion to show. Go create a billion in value. Let's see how your view changes.

Musk does Nazi salute at the Trump inauguration. He does it twice. This is going viral now across the internet.

At first I did think it was just an innocent but incredibly dumb mistake. But the confidence and conviction he does this with is pretty convincing. It doesn’t look like a “I’m throwing my heart out to the crowd” gesture like I’ve seen people suggest.

Even though he says those words, the action itself is not really congruent with them.

It's curious that you seek to temper criticism of Musk in the name of balance and reverence. That's perplexing to me, and it has nothing to do with anything personal or a bias. It's just pure curiosity.

Instead of explaining your thought process, you say I just need more development, but I'm asking you to explain why balance and reverence should be applied to criticism of Musk. If you really want me to learn something, I can learn the most by you telling me your thought process of why criticism of Musk should be balanced and why he should, in some ways, be revered. I'm a big boy. I can keep up.

All the people defending him should start posting videos of them doing the salute. Since it isn't a Nazi salute

If someone has a big twitter account and they can convince Piers Morgan to do the Elon salute on his show I will personally send you some crypto

Dude, don't you know me by now?

Not in the name of balance, in the name of reality.

I am pointing out gaps in your view of reality.

That's all we're doing here.

I don't care about thing else.

It shouldn't be balanced. It should be REAL!

If all you see is the black squares on the chessboard, you are blind. See the whole board.

As it stands, your view cannot account for why Musk has such power and influence. You think it's because people are deluded or he is some scammer or whatever. But you don't see the reality of how power works, because you don't see how value and survival works. Because you take survival for granted.

If you keep that up you will turn into a deluded Marxist. Hasan Piker -- that will be you if you don't wise up.

I have noticed my patience for "middle ground" or "nice/generous" statements has pretty much disappeared since starting the work. Has served as a kind of a filter for others that seek truth and honesty, at the expense of "friends". Wouldn't want it otherwise.

What do you think of Musk doing the Nazi salute Leo?

It is by far the most controversial thing he did at the inauguration and possibly one of the most controversial things he did so far politically.

I personally find it very disturbing, especially considering he did it twice. No room for "miss interpretation".

I also don't like both-sides-ism, since it is a form of epistemic pervertry.

But still, seeing various sides is important.

Seeing Musk as only an evil capitalist is not a high quality view. That's not serious intelligence.

As I said, he's not a Nazi. He's an egomaniac drunk on power.

It is much too late in the game to be acting shocked at a Trump loyalist flashing fascist symbols. That was already baked into the cake. The fascism is here. It lives in the White House. Salute or not doesn't matter now.
