But, as a matter of fact, I don't think that vegan diet would be that much more expensive. Unless you are a gourmet like Schizofonia and are averese to "slave" food like rice and beans, lol.

Do you know what it’s like to eat only rice and beans for a month? Cuz I do. It’s miserable. I lost 12 kg. Adding eggs and cheap meat is what saved me.

Actually, most Polish people are really nice to me, even if I had a few individual bad experiences. But it doesn't matyer because I wasn't talking down to you. I asked you a straightforward question. Your interprentation of it is not my responsibility.

Glad to hear you are not treated poorly. Here in the US, even at an elite college, I have gotten “dirty immigrant” and “go back to your country” numerous times. Those people always speak with the assumption you are not educated “are you aware”. My bad for coming at you, but I hope you realise that phrasing of the question matters.

This is what annoys me the most actually. If people here just said that they don't want to be vegan - I would be fine with it. But you guys feel the need to come up with random bullshit and twist facts becuase you feel like you need an excuse.

Yes, whilst acknowledging the absolute truth of your cult, am I right? I just have to acknowledge that I'm wrong and that vegan diet is the best and all that stuff about saving animals, and only then am I allowed to humbly say "but I actually don't want to be vegan although you guys eat better than me" haha that's what you'd want eh? Unfortunately there are valid health reasons to not be vegan or even a vegetarian. And that is not going to change any time soon.

I do, actually. Its not that bad in my experience. You can mix it with oil, ketchup, onions, garlic, tomato paste... Maybe you guys just don't know how to cook?

And you are not supposed to lose weight if you eat enough calories.

But again. If meat and eggs is what worked for you then ok.

Veganism is cheaper if you eat a horrible slave diet of rice, beans, and supplements.

If you want to be healthy and still enjoy yourself you have to replace beans with tofu/tempeh or protein powder, eat most of your carbs in the form of pasta, bananas or dates, and eat lots of nuts.
This is what makes veganism "expensive".

When you are an omnivore you can get chicken pieces with skin for a few euros and you have a good amount of protein, fat, calories in general and nutrients some of which are only found in good proportions in meat.
Even better fish.

And that's it.

Yea they have to put that smelly tempeh or those god awful vegan burgers that health organizations say not to eat everyday or else you will shit your own guts out.
https://vakbladvoedingsindustrie.nl/en/article/two-thirds-of-vegetarian-burgers-are-unhealthy

Hospital costs aside. My healthy is precious. I’m not putting that crap in my body.

As you said, lentils, beans and rice will get boring very fast and body craves meat you keep feeding it processed bull and vitamin pills. This is human abuse. Veganism was never a thing in human history. It is a new thing and I think it will be looked back upon as smoking cigarettes. Something healthy but not healthy at all.

If you buy local fresh cut meats it is actually very affordable, healthy and good for the environment. Much better than flying in those avocados from all over the world and creating a big carbon foot print.

Normally I don’t go on a crusade against anything but these vegan shit needs to stop. They are ruining people. And they are not content with ruining themselves.  They are hell bent on spreading their ideology like a religion. So we must crush them in conversation with decisiveness and conviction.

You are the one who has to come up with bullshit excuses and talk about children and pets, not me.

Why no response to Michael and Emerald? You were so sure that you were right, I thought you did your research.

Good thing regular burgers are super healthy and health organisation tell us to eat them every day.

Hah, good one.

You need to eat 1.5kg of rice a day to get 2000 calories. And that’s for small humans. My daily intake is about 3000. So I think you can see why it doesn’t work for everyone.

To be clear, when I have the financial freedom to eat a healthy and diverse Vegan diet, I will. I stopped alcohol and weed cold turkey due to the prolonged health effects. I am willing to do the same with meat.

It doesn't really matter which diet is healthier when health isn't the top priority in an average person's lifestyle. People prioritize taste, culture and convenience over health generally speaking. Hence why meat consumption is the highest in the countries that can afford it. And also why there is such a push for meat alternatives industry-wise. If veganism is to become mainstream it needs to subsume popular culture somehow. Also hence the endless debates.

Stop with this nonsense. I know you know better than to even believe that this is what constitutes a vegan diet.

Health is not a bullshit excuse. But I actually like the taste of meat in and of itself, maybe you should try, you sound like you need it

Because Emerald is too biased to look at negative potential effects of veganism. Just like you are. Yall just want to mantain your moral high ground. And Michael response is actually very legit which I'll definitely study later, it's evident that he's one of the main authorities on this subject here. But his response was mainly about the LDL cholesterol, and none of you provided a sufficient enough reason why I shouldn't eat meat at all, or even in a reasonable quantity, and why I should believe that the current supplements availible are sufficient in nourishing us with over 5 micronutrients missing in a vegan diet.

That was not the point. The point was that your claim about vegan diet being less healthy than an omnivore one was full of shit and you couldn't neither provide any evidence that would support your claim nor disprove evidence that they showed you.

Where are you getting these numbers from?

Rice calories per USDA - 205 calories for 158g, i.e 130 calories per 100 g

Whole chicken calories per USDA - 200 calores for 84 grams, i.e 240 calories per 100 g

Buckwheat and Barley I agree with but those were harder to come by where I lived and were more expensive. Lentils I ate a lot of.

I am 98kg at 7-8% body fat. And I exercise regularly. So, there's a difference.

What nutrient exactly do you think a vegan diet can't provide despite the supplements and a good diet planning?

You can't even be specific because you are talking out of your ass.

How do you calculate whole chicken per 84g?

Honest question.

I am sorry, I thought we were discussing a scenario where a person has not enough money to eat properly at all.

Obviously, if you are exercising regularly, you will need more food.
