Leo, how on earth are you so good at Chess?

When i play on LSD i gain 400+ points rating, i play like a god.

It's insane how effective psychedelics are for chess. But that probably works for any performance enhancer.

I can't really say what is different but the mistakes of the bots seem often to be just very random.
Maybe it makes more sense to use bots if you are higher rated because then they have more accuracy.

With a microdose or low dose I play better too but if I take more than that I have a hard time focusing on the game.
I also just play Classic in that state instead of Blitz and Rapid because I need more time for calculations.

I’m 1700 with regular chess 10:10 and I wouldn’t say that is high. People at this level still make a lot of mistakes and they don’t have solid game. Serious players start at 2000. And being good at chess is like going to the gym. You have to train every muscle in isolation and in compound.

I used to regularly play in real life international fide tournaments. No fide rating yet although I have beat 1500s in unrated tournaments, so that doesn't increase my rating.

~1700 on lichess that might translate to 1200-1300 in elo rating. Online ratings are a poor indicator of your actual playing strength since they all use different equations and metrics to arrive at the numbers.

I can relate to Leo that consciousness work has led to me finding new broader patterns and new ways of thinking and even allow me to transfer insights from other domains onto new ones. The whole feel is different. And when I used to grind chess in teenage, it used to exhaust myself. Now I am more at ease being able to savour it more.

You don't need a new app for that. There is a feature for tournament organisation with all popular chess apps chess.com lichess etc.

@Leo Gura I believe the bots suggested rating is more like 1700 in a 10 minutes rapid game or 3+2 blitz and not a few hours long games like you are playing.

I don't like memorizing openings, which is why I play Fischer.

Tho Hikaru did mention many times that he wasn't as talented as other guys and had to work way harder.

And had IQ 102 where as magnus is estimated like beyond 160 so yeah
