@Someone here I'm currently on chapter seven of the Quran, and I don't see any references to mysticism, or God being "one", or anything.

Its all these archaic rulings for combat, like...

"Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors."

"Those who believe fight in the way of Allah and those who disbelieve fight in the way of devil. So fight against the friends of Satan; verily weak indeed is the strategy of the devil."

“ O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.“

Also, the verses above is addressed to the ‘believers’, yet Leo and other Gurus, spiritual masters, of the eastern traditions take harsh stances against belief and say that one must verify the teachings. Doesn’t this make Islam stand in contrast to our work here?

In the end my friend God is unlimited. You can't understand God by reading a limited book . The quran is a great book for worshiping God in the Islamic style. But you have to understand its impossible to have an unlimited understanding of God or reality (Or a TOE) by reading a limited book.

Is God limited or unlimited?  Obviously unlimited.  Then how can you encapsulate the unlimited in a limited book ?

On the other hand ...yes the Qur’an is not all alike . Some chapters are more spiritual and mystical..Poetic and beautiful. And some verses like these you mentioned are clearly coming from low consciousness or from tribalism or execution of those who are against our Islamic thinking .

I myself wanted to become a muslim after I finished reading the entire Qur’an. But God is not just the quran.

God is everything..everyone..and everywhere.

I feel like Islam is just a bad idea of humanity and now we can happily move on and let it go.

Remember when you had a bad idea. Like when you thought you could become an Astronaut or a famous rapper. But then you remembered you’re too fat to be an astronaut and you can’t rap. So then you had to move on.

It’s normal it happens sometimes.

Well first of all that’s whataboutism

Secondly the “West” mostly kind of saw at some point that Christianity shouldn’t be so important and forced upon people. That’s why they went trough the age of enlightenment. Church and state separation. Democracy, modern science, Industrial Revolution and so on.

Thirdly i live in Europe, grew up no religious and don’t know that many religios people. The most religious people in Europe i know are Muslims.

I don’t really care about Christianity

although Jesus >> Mohammed

by far sorry

Youre just wrong about that last bit . Im not gonna start an Internet pseudo religious war about a bunch of dead peeps . But islam makes much more sense than Christianity.. thats just a fact of sorts.  the concept of God in Islam is  Pure monotheism. Christianity my ass..talking about trinity nonsense which doesn't even fit into a kid's mind .

Christianity  is a cute secular  religion. Whereas islam claims to be a complete guidance for humanity at individual as well as at collective levels. Otherwise.. what good is the religion which doesn't provide complete and comprehensive guidance on matters of life? That's why it wasn't separated from politics in Islamic countries.

The guy who started your thing was already not kosher you know what i mean.

It’s like when a guy like L Ron Hubbard starts a thing of course it’s going to turn out bad.

Islam was a bad idea. It’s holding humanity back. Especially the middle East but now also Europe, Canada, Australia and so on.

It’s fine we all have bad ideas. It’s not our fault. But we have to see it at some point and let it goooo. 💜

I don’t care about religions really at all and don’t want to know much about them.

But seemingly how i see it Christianity and Islam developed very very differently.

Christianity first was just Jesus. It started very mellow in disrtuptive but peaceful way. Then some romans started to follow it. Also slaves and women. Which the roman leaders didn’t like so they persecuted them. Then at some point centuries later Roman leaders started taking Christianity. Changing it. Corrupting it using it for power projection. Centuries later it was a mess. Then thank god people saw it was a mess and Age of Enlightenment etc.

While Islam in the beginning was a power projection. Spread by the sword. Had a golden age but never an Age of Enlightenment and imo still holding people back as it’s not fitting for our times.

The killer was a Saudi Arabian man. Killed 1 Child and 5 women in Germany. Injured 300 people. At a Christmas market (lord baby jesus)

If he hated Islam wouldn’t he attack a mosque or something and not a Christmas market?

Your king listened to him. You should watch the movie again.

It’s a good story/movie

Unfortunately it has nothing to do with a Saudi Asshole in Germany killing women and children on a Christmas market.

@PurpleTree Killing is the biggest sin in the Quran.

I see that you didn't read it, it's ok. The Quran repeatedly states that it is legitimate and obligatory to kill in order to defend oneself if Islam is attacked. The problem is that "attacking Islam" can be interpreted in many ways, such as apostasy, which is punishable by death.

Sura 191

Kill them wherever you find them and expel them from wherever they expelled you. Opposition (to your belief) is more serious than killing.

Remember when Muslims killed those comic artists Charlie Hebdo in France for drawing their guy.
