Iţhkuil: The Philosophical language

4 posts in this topic

Over the past few years, I have dedicated my free time to learning the constructed language known as ithkuil. This language has great potential to express profound levels of human cognition and philosophical contemplation however no one is fluent in it yet. Ithkuil is unique because it systematically condenses entire paragraphs into single words without losing clarity of intended meaning. Ithkuil is often called the world's hardest language because it has an extensive case system and complex rules for words are formulated. If you think learning Chinese is hard you're going to shit your pants learning Ithkuil.  The 4 versions of Ithkuil are essentially a massive thought experiment, created by the Amateur linguist John Quijada (a friend of David Peterson who is the guy who created Dothraki) over 30 years to create  Ithkuil v1, Ilaksh, Ithkuil 3, The New Ithkuil. Each version essentially gets easier to learn even though the last version of Ithkuil, the new ithkuil, is only considered theoretically possible and not possible.

A good short explaination of Ithkuil:

Just watch this Video of John Quijada explaining Ithkuil in detail to understand how Ithkuil works. It's like 2 hours long but worth watching if you are interested in Ithkuil.

What I like about Ithkuil is that you can approach qualitative phenomena as logically as mathematics approaches quantitative data because Ithkuil removes the subjective component of natural languages through its complex grammar which potentially allows humans to accurately model and classify reality by understanding the complex patterns between observed phenomenon and reducing them into semantic rules that can be applied to words to mutate these words in specific ways to then compare the these word mutations to understand deeper the nature of the thing being questioned.

How do I get funding to quit my job so I can study this language full-time to apply it to academia? Would a university fund my studies?
