Recommendations for a serious, long-term spiritual practice?

22 posts in this topic

Hi guys, I started watching Leos Videos 4 years back and want to get serious with spiritual work.

I am searching now a meditation habit and came across Culadasa "the mind illuminated". I like it because it seems there is a map how you know when you need to progress to the next step. It sounds plausible, and would prefer to have some feedback: Is it good? Or are you guys recommending something else with similar approach?

I am not religious, don't want to follow a Guru (didn't work for me in the past).

What are your spiritual practice / habits? I really prefer something with step by step instructions and

I´ve done Kriya Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Qi Gong, different kinds of meditation practices, breathing excercises aso.

My mind searched all the time for a better practice, so I switched from one to another. Now I want finally to stick to one practice.

What is your goal when you say "get serious"? And what is the problem with following a teacher (that you can learn from)?

If I'd pick one among all, it would be lucid dreaming.

Can lucid dreaming be considered a practice? Considering it's something you can theoretically do 24/7, like any mindfulness or awareness practice.

There is no distinction between REM and waking state, it's all a continuous stream of consciousness.

Some people do it during deep sleep even.

A window to lucid dreaming ofc is meditation, as it changes the way the "brain" works (there is no brain).

I like Leo's trip reports, but I'm too afraid to do psychedelics myself, so lucid dreaming has been my main spiritual practice for years...

For me, spiritual practice begins by realizing that there are blockages in you and wanting to dissolve those blockages. Blockage is everything that separates you from being one with reality, with yourself, everything that separates you. All the fear and all the mental barriers that you have created throughout your life. You must ardently desire to break them and be one with yourself, whatever that is. You are not looking for God, or love, or happiness, or freedom, you are looking to be one with yourself. You don't know what that is, but it doesn't matter, whatever it is, it is you, and you open yourself. How? Your intuition tells you the way. Don't believe anything else.

I practice kundalini yoga by yogigems, meditation by Michael Thaft and Psychedelics.

Well and contemplation by Leo Gura:P

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty. We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Virtuous and Conscious. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life God is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, ... Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

Blockage only exist when there is a distance between you right now, and an illusory version of yourself that you have created, that exist somewhere, that is more "one" more "spiritual" or whatever...

You are always "one", even when you think that you aren't one, you are one.
You thinking that you aren't "one", is you being one.

The fun part, is, you don't have to be one.

Actually, it's not the goal of the game.

We can here to have an experience.

Being "one" is like playing chess against yourself, we all know that, because this is where we come from.

With the amount of time we are on earth, we'd rather forget that we're one.

Otherwise it wouldn't be possible to have a conversation, make war, make love, all those things...

It's a way to talk, I mean that you are lost in the form, in energetic blockages made of fear that make your mind being in constant movement, projecting, imagining, remembering, searching. You should perceive them and see them directly in order to overcome them

Stay in darkness and silence. Let the silence be your teacher. But stay days, months and years.

@integration journey

The theory you need to know is in the book "Are you dreaming?" by Daniel Love.

I have read all the books on amazon about LDs (west and east) until 2018, then I stopped... this is the one I recommend^

Advice:

- Have a dream journal is the first step, keep a journal for 2 weeks or more, before trying to LD.

- Find the method that works for you... (for me it's WBTB + WILD, no need for reality checks and things like that...)

Podcast not related to LD but still good to know, about the importance of sleep in general:

I had some Deep talks to another human being which is awaken. My "goal" is to See currently myself as that which I am really and demonstrier Reality.

problem with a teacher outside of me: I Feel it is a trap. They Are just here to pinpoint but I have to do the work.

I had Deep awakening experiences with psychedelics, I know that I am god, and other stuff but I want to manifest it in life.

@Leeo_SA shambhavi mahamudra from sadhguru is best. You need to take his course " inner engineering total"  where he teaches this technique.

5meoMalt and Salvia (I recommend 5meos to everyone but Salvia to no one)

I wanna buy another batch of 5meoDMT and craft a vape pen for accesibility and easier redosing.

I also like vipassana

I wanted to "master" just one technique but I'm a generalist so can't help but have a thousand tools and use the one that suits me in that moment

Experience sucks and reality rocks.

Everything here is a mess

even on a good day.
