2) Gnana yoga is one of those classical Hindu distinctions. Yogis talk about it because it is part of the Hindu spiritual traditions. I don't talk about it cause I ain't Hindu.

What are you doing when you think of yourself as a gnana yogi? This will likely involve beliefs or be entirely based on them.

To be clear, it might have some merit, but contemplation is better done without such systems.

Someone like Krishnamurti is more grounded and sincere, in my view.

Gnana is knowledge which is what you find when you go beyond knowing. It is what Ramana Maharshi teaches. You know what you are by looking in the mirror. Knowledge by contrast is the oneness of what you are. It is the absolute truth beyond the division that consciousness introduced.

Leo is intelligent too . In fact Leo's intelligence is baffling and "insulting ". I've been listening to his "deconstructing the myth of science " series and his interview with Curt recently when i smoke late at night ..and I'm like Leo are you kidding me 😂...his ability to speak for hours on end about deep philosophical mumbo-jumbo is truly remarkable.

@Leo Gura Which of your videos will wake a person up the easiest for us ego conscious people. I have a very open mind and i do contemplate what i watch or read so please share a video that you think is the best to wake me up other than what is God part 1 and 2 cause i have watched them 3 times if not more bad i got a lot from it like it did make me realize somewhat who/what God is but what other video's will help??

I get it 75% intellectual, i think but i am open minded and i could just need the other 25% or less to at least have some sort of awakening. I don't have the connections to psychedelics where i live so i need the next best thing. I do meditate and do self inquiry so what is the next best thing or a video in your experience that will awaken me?

Also, Have a good  koan that might help me off your head cause i know here are a few on your site.

@Leo Gura @Leo Gura I agree but i have had some realisations and some weird experience by meditating, contemplating, having sone knowledge about spirtitual knowledge and just hearing something that clicks causing some experiences. Also, was doing some light work with an spiritual guru(i can feel his energy very strongly) but till i can find Psychedelics it's all i can do, for now...

IQ is a very limiting factor when it comes to true understanding and nature of reality. Its more logically oriented than spirituality.

For example, High IQ people often always agree that there are many other planets with intelligent life out there.

However not all of them will agree that 1 + 1 = 3 or understand the true nature of god and enlightenment.

That's an entire level of conscious/awareness altogether. It requires a deep deep surrender.

200+ IQ is a very small fraction of being the master of the universe.

Lets say its only about 2% of the total picture.

Whats the smartest man gonna be like in a thousand years, surely theyll have another way to gauge intellect, or a reinterpretation of, so that it actually measures like, "people that used their intellect.." , in ways to progress others, but then that assumes that this person of high intellect isnt being throttled to the very bottom of the stage, without any recollection. In that sense, the problems could exist around communities and traditions... although thats a different topic right? I think its a good topic, but iuno how id even begin it... Hey, we are here, and we are participating as a community, right? Thats one part of the problem solved. lol. lol one part of solving the problem is just to participate i guess, that should be like, an ancient proverb on a runestone somewhere.

It doesn't mean anything because IQ is such a poor capture of actual intelligence.

There never was a "smartest man" because there isn't such a measure. This is man-made fiction. There were many men with all sorts of different unique intelligences, with various pros and cons, in various fields.

I think i might but misaddressing or adressing a strange facet now, but you made me think about "what do we even use as the center", as opposed to making anything about intellect (which is itself a word that we may or may not conclude means anything) Instead, we could associate a word with someone that actually both means something else, and that better fits for "whatever the ultimate thing is" for a quality of a person. like, is it that we wanna praise someone else? and if thats the case, what are we praising them for, its like..  Do we appreciate there "hard work", or some like "acknowledgement" in general? but then its like, what are we talking about right? Iuno, if i had to ask myself "what is the thing that im looking for in a person" then its more like, something that im interested in, and how i want to collaberate.. but then, if we are talking about like a more serious situation, like... well maybe youll be able to finish that sentence, or like i said i just initiated your message from an off-angle in the first place, lol
