You do realize that the Islamic world primarily seeks sovereignty over the Middle East and the ability to resolve its own conflicts - something made impossible precisely through their history of colonization and foreign (mostly U.S.) intervention, by the way?

Only the most radical fringe elements of Islam would ever claim ambitions of a global caliphate - which is precisely the kind of boogeyman often conjured to justify those very interventions.
