Trump wants to buy Greenland as well (again). Then all of North-America will be proper American.

That one I can see a little more merit to on paper, being geographically of strategic importance and rich in natural resources, but the US already has access to building bases there and establishing companies in Greenland without any of the burden that comes with managing Greenland as a country. Its not necessary from an American perspective.

In the Fallout series one of the main early concessions is that Canada is annexed by the united states to protect against hostilities from china and russia. Somewhat plausible given the rhetoric in politics, heard fellow Canadians musing over the idea in terms of becoming a bigger economy. To me it's fear mongering, but to an American I imagine it doesn't make much of a difference.

My friend said well Trump was only joking about that. Plus he doesn't have the power to actually pull that off. But by the end of the century it probably will actually happen. Because Canada really does not produce much. So combining countries would actually make sense and USA can become more powerful that way.

Yes, because it was a branch of the United Kingdom, it is not something tangible to legitimize the existence of a state, it sucks.

The most logical thing, even in a decolonial logic, would be for Canada to leave this stupid commonwealth and join the United States.

This is actually relevant, Canada should not exist and it is in the US interest to recover the Panama Canal.
