Ralston clarifies his deepening of consciousness

Understanding all is mind is the master key. This was already explained thousands of years ago by Hermes Trismegistus. No need to reinvent the wheel.

if its not constant then what is it arising out of? and whatever that is, would that not be prior to consciousness?

It doesn't need to arise out of anything since "out" and "in" are just constructs of Consciousness.

Consciousness is not "in" anything and it has no "outside". Since these notions are inventions of Consciousness.

It's like you're asking, Where is space located? The answer cannot be another space. Space is not located anywhere because location only applies inside space. Space itself cannot have a location.

Any thing "that is" is a construct of Consciousness. Consciousness is just a void in which stuff arises. The void itself does not need another place or thing from which to arise. Void is rock bottom, so to speak. It's void all the way down. Void is infinite. You don't ask where void came from. If you are asking that then you haven't realized void, you are theorizing about it but missing the actual thing being pointed to. It's like you are talking about the moon without ever actually looking at it.

This is so misleading and problematic because level of consciousness changes. The changes of Consciousness transcends the notion of time, but in a simpistic sense it takes time.

Again, this is inventing extra stuff called mind and perceptions.

Mind is one, total, and absolute. The end. Stop here.

Mind is how I see and perception is what I see.

Yet mind can be radically transformed from its default setting

to break from consciousness to its natural state.

You just don't need all these extra distinctions you are creating. You can create them, but they will obscure the realization of ONENESS.

If you just expand your notion of mind to be total, then your understanding will be much more elegant and profound.

Ignorance maybe

Ignorance is the state of the absolute.

Not only does it not care about here, it doesn't even see it.

Your consciousness is changing throughout your life. You are sometimes conscious of more and sometimes less.

If you insist on reducing Consciousness to a constant void, you can do that, but you will miss the higher aspects of Consciousness in that case. That's what Buddhism does.

The passage doesn't talk about state of consciousness..it is talking about the fact that whatever is absolutely true or our true nature is already here . You can't argue against this obvious fact .

my mind is gone to a better place.  I'm elevated ..going out of space . And I'm gone .

I do agree.

And so the work is to see everything as the same but this first means to unsee it from its default unsameness.

Everything around me is identical sprinkles of me disguised as people, places and things.

Try this (if you haven't yet), buckle in and listen to every word, after all he is trying to communicate his trip, and his trip was on the head. You *are* on his forum after all. Contradictions of poor rational are intended here, I feel. If you can smoke some weed while watching to loosen the egoic grip, fantastic.

Here are two comments on the video that I feel were aptly left:

I reject this whole nonduality frame.

Serious Consciousness is beyond all that.

If you wanna keep swimming around in circles at this plane of consciousness, go ahead. I will not argue with you further.

Consciousness is a misleading term that no one explains clearly. Right now I am conscious of myself in a crowded subway stop. I am conscious is a construction within the manifestation of reality now, therefore consciousness would be the manifest reality at a given moment.

If reality does not manifest as perception there is no consciousness, but there is still non-conscious reality. You, that is, the perceiver, cannot understand this since for the perceiver perception is absolute since without perception he does not exist, but this is a limited vision that the perceiver has since he cannot conceive of any reality outside of himself.

People are confusing terms AGAIN! They are talking about Consciousness as the basis of Existence and Consciousness as to how Aware You are, or how intense Your Perception of Reality is and mixing up the conversation using both definitions as they communicate with one another.. By the way since this is happening, solipsism cannot be true since I do not agree with all Your Perceptions or Understandings and visa versa with most everyone here, if we all agreed then maybe solipsism would be true but we don't obviously!!:)

Solipsism would mean that you are imagining what you are reading here, it's just a conceptual idea that for me is meaningless, I don't care if you are real or not metaphisically talking, I would say that you are real, but if you aren't, what's the difference? What I want is the total expansion of my mind and the total openess to the absolute

About what you said, agree, people confuse conciousness with reality because they think that reality is perception, when perception is just a manifestation of reality

But I do understand things he does not. At least according to me. Whether that's true is up for you to discover.

Still strikes me in a weird way that those we consider “spiritually gifted” can also lack a fundamental understanding of Consciousness. That understanding seems to go beyond any human notions of spirituality.

In fact what is spirituality (or notions of being “spiritual/spiritually gifted”) other than a mental construct within Consciousness?

People think eye sees but truth is I see, very different

Eye and the whole body is no different from any other perception

and thus no need for identification or attachment.
