Modern indie films have never been better.

Go to film festivals if you want to watch great stuff.

Damn, didn't even know about this. Despicable.

I've got Infinity for a head and I have a hard time handling it.

As your consciousness expands movies in general will appear very bland and predictive, you will eventually realize they bind you to a type of matrix that keeps your expression and abilities limited to the conditions of the box or screen you are watching, you will be able to see through them and they will look more and more artificial. This is especially noticeable when you come back from being in nature for a while or coming down from a psychedelic exp[experience. Even books are starting to become dissatisfying as our consciousness expands, forcing us to create more ourselves and tap into our own movie or book of life.

What? There are so many films and series out there absolutely brimming with Truth.

I'd venture to say there's more wisdom in something like Breaking Bad than 90% of self help or spiritual books.

Not a movie, but Severance is an incredible series that only has one season so far (season 2 is coming in January 25)

A true hidden gem. I think most of you guys will like it a lot.

There is truth contained within every-thing, even the illusion is part-of the greater truth. You missed the deeper-meaning of what was said.

I still don't understand. By that logic, even meditation keeps me in the matrix.

I genuinely think a person's life is richer if they're constantly consuming great storytelling filled with wisdom. It can only help you. @M A J I

The thing is when you watch a movie, your mind is blank in alpha, you don't use your brain much at all, allowing the images and story to pass by, some inspiring and thought-provoking moments occur yes, however like I said, very little mind-muscles are being used, consciousness does not expand.

When you read a book for example, you have to use your mind, to imagine, to envision, to feel and experience what the story is telling you, it trains and exercises those mind-muscles and truly enriches your experience. Eventually even they get to a point where they distract you and limit you.

Then there's yet another level of consciousness where you become the creator and start filling and enriching your own life by living your own movie or book and be out in the real world, connecting and being in nature, using your powers and abilities to create yet another level altogether than simply sitting and receiving and not doing anything more with it.

I know many people who watch thousands of movies and read a lot of books, they have a lot of knowledge, yet because they haven't truly lived outside of their comfort-zone, they greatly are lacking is wisdom, the actions did not follow the teachings, so knowledge became their burden.

That is the essence of the original comment I made, that eventually they become limiting and distracting to a higher consciousness.

Yes it does, because those who meditate are not living, yet those who live, and I mean truly live, fully present and participating with life, are always meditating. That is true meditation, its a lifestyle, not an act. Osho explains this well.

Why watch a movie then? Just watch paint drying because you say there is truth there

I prefer to simply watch nature, the birds, the insects, the natural elements, the richness you harness from being in the fullness of the wild nature itself is unparalleled to any other experience, nature is basically intelligent infinity uncompromised, pure divine flow, God's divine thought in manifest and pristine form, that's all you need for all the knowledge and wisdom in the world. Anything further only distorts the truth more.
