The Millennials will inevitably take over, and it's going to be good for all of us.

You really think Millenials are less selfish and more mature than Boomers?

Very generally speaking, hell yea.

It is a detached evaluation based on Spiral Dynamics.

Younger generations are more liberal and mature, generally speaking.

@integral Realistically speaking, I think the true potential of millennials will be overshadowed by boomers who would never fully allow younger generations to grow. So gen z might be in a better position to bring about true change. Millennials would provide a nice cushion for genz who would bring actual change like the ones we are hoping for.

Same logic can be applied to Zoomers when they eventually take over from millennials.

And gen Alpha after them.

Today's iPad addicted diaper babies will inevitably take over, and we will be better off for it.

--

The oldest millennials I know are getting prepared for their boomer arc. They are buying multiple properties and getting ready to horde resources and blame kids for not working hard enough. You too will become like a boomer, it's only a matter of time.

It's almost as if the boomer issue is not a problem with a specific generation, and instead it's a greater cultural and survival problem brought about by aging and success seeking.

It's like none of you understand that AI is going to rip off society entirely from the industrial era.

None of this will apply in 10 years.

You guys are making a false equivalency here between generations. Yes there is laziness and self bias. The the degree to which boomers have destro the young generations hopes gauged in actual numbers is unfathomable.

Millennials are more closer to boomers than gen z I feel. Which is why I also made it clear that I am not super bullish on millennials. Millennials are slightly better off and slight improvements are significant considering the sheer scale.

Gen z would be in a perfect position to bring forth actual change in my opinion. This is a developmental thing and nuanced. There are real psychological differences in the minds of young folks compared to older ones.

Gen Z will serve itself just as Boomers do. Maybe more, since they are spoiled and their minds are rotted with TikTok.

The Tiktok videos also consists of preserving the whales, not wage slaving your life away and actually having a life if not for the economic realities dictated by the boomers in power.

The equivalent of TikTok videos for boomers was locker room talk of beating up their wives if they didn't get a full sized meal when they come home among other things.

I am not shitting on them for it. Boomer were spoiled because they grew up in a time where one man with subpar skills with a little hardwork can live comfortably without fomo, marry a cute women in 20s itself, provide for an entire family, buy a house on SINGLE INCOME. Now how many younger generations even do have this available as an option.

Now the young people of today need multiple income, multiple languages, multiple skill sets, sales diversification and whatever bullshit it takes just to have a shot, which is not guaranteed because the boomers are the ultimate gatekeepers of opportunities and of course they will have nepotism. There are the ground level economic realities of an average boomer vs average gen z.

Imagine studing coding and watching multi billion corporates are pouring billions into replacing you at the start of your career. Should feel nice.

This is just what happens when society evolves to become more complicated. The individuals within it need to also evolve and outperform the generation before, else it's not really progress.

Also, we now have eight billion people on the planet. There are just way more people competing for resources.

I have to agree with Leo here - TikTok is brain rot.

There may be some good content. No denying

But the format & delivery are anathema to spirituality & consciousness

This goes for pretty much all social media & a lot of the internet

Unless you have seriously done a purge or abstinence, very hard to see this

You won't find any answers online. It's all inside you...

This also might explain Leo's pessimism.

The simple fact is we are, as a species, looking externally to define ourselves. Now, more than ever!

Busted shit really - however - I am still optimistic

is going to move closer to a direction of sanity as the generation that grew up with the internet takes over most of the world, and the previous ones are weeded out

This is not so clear and dichotomic. In some aspects we moved away from sanity in the last 20 years. The best indication for this is the continuous rise in anxiety and depression.

🌻 Thinking independently about the spiral stages themselves is important for going through them in an organic, efficient way. If you stick to an external idea about how a stage should be you lose touch with its real self customized process trying to happen inside you.

I don't like this generation naming at all, at what point have we started doing this? Why do we deem it important? Name me all the generations in late antiquity, or renesaince. LOL it's laughable. But it seems to me that I know the reason why we're doing this. It's because at some point, due to a sudden technological revolution, which is still ongoing, we started believing that, as the time goes on, things get generally better. So the relationship of passage of time = upgrade of everything has to apply to "generations" as well, right? No! That's a wrong assumption

It's pretty simple you interact with these older people and at every point you could tell that they think in terms of cliché. They have obvious issues ever admitting being wrong about anything. Strong issues learning where they spent most of their life not learning anything. Overly fearful about loss. They can barely use computers, and the generation before that can't use computers at all. And this is the generation that rules the world.

A boomer adapted to a very different environment than the one that currently exists. The generation before that was even worse, it's like they have the mindset of criminals that just came out of prison, scared that someone's going to break into their house and Rob them.

A millennial is the first generation that could use the internet. It's a profound shift. And we grew up without War, in abundance it was Pure Heaven.

There's a common saying that hard times make strong people and easy times make weak people. And this is nonsense created by the Boomers, Hard Times make fearful people, and easy times make Carefree people.

The world is ruled by these fearful people who can barely think their way outside of a paper bag, because they're so crippled by fear.

They're all in Burnout. They're all completely burnt out. They're all burnt to a crisp. They need to be put to bed.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

As a Millennial, I wish this was true. It’s very appealing to my bias. But I just can’t say for certain. Algorithmically-driven brainwashing might actually make things worse than before.

What about Gen Z?

https://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message5882836/pg1

41% are at least somewhat okay with what happened with the United Healthcare CEO being eliminated... but do they bring it on themselves because of their unmitigated greed?  Is cultural rises and falls based on human nature just the inevitable outcome of our genetics?

Out of control capitalism is destructive just as out of control socialism is destructive.

In both circumstances the elites have no problem adapting to utilizing monopolies to police their hold on power. In the capitalist example they buy out smaller competitors and purchase politicians to ensure they remain in control as Microsoft and many others have done.

In the socialist example the party elites and their corporate or national security allies use raw power to suppress any threat to the system.
