New school shooting in Wisconsin

I never thought that a very young girl, especially one who was pretty, would commit a school shooting.

It's crazy how there was already a young, attractive-looking man who made national headlines for killing someone with a gun, and then just a few weeks later, a young, attractive-looking girl also made national headlines for killing more than one person with a gun.

It must be part of some kind of fad going on where more and more people are trying to get a lot of attention through the news after being influenced by what they see in violent movies/shows and news stories of previous mass shootings.

It's almost like physical appearance has nothing to do with happiness.

There’s a pandemic of mental illness going on in our country. My theory is the hyper materialistic, hyper individualistic society that late stage capitalism creates. I think our developed societies are missing a core spiritual component, a component that gives us meaning and purpose in a life. A moral compass of sorts.

@Hardkill Its not a fad its a sign of decaying society. A woman doing it means its getting worse and women are taking on the psyche of men.

Its happening in China men are running over school children everyday.

Okay relax. She's a 5 at best. If I was a flat chested 5, I would probably shoot up a school too.

In all do seriousness, there is a serious mental health problem with teenagers. The educational system and the way children are raised in modern western society has failed totally to account for student well-being and happiness. 

Society is decent at providing some very basic needs for food and shelter, and even that, not totally as there is still homelessness and poverty. But in helping people attain to the higher needs of Abraham Maslow's model, society is insufficient. 

I vividly recall being in high school, and being M I S E R A B L E. I never slept properly because I had a compulsive issue with staring at my phone late into the night. I kept telling myself not to look at my phone in bed, but I wouldn't follow through, night after night. 

So I would wake up each morning groggy, with an intense sleep inertia. When I got home from school, I was a chronic procrastinator, so I would not start my homework until 6:00 P.M. .I remember all the late nights I spent cramming for exams, barely eating, barely sleeping. Horrible four years.

Well, I can say from my own experience, that people can't live on looks alone. Men, especially more so than women, have to do more than look pretty to succeed in life.

Well, this probably never would've happened had America had the very same kind of gun control laws that all other developed nations have.

@Hardkill I agree Guns are for killing people. They have demons attached to them that lure confused people to want to kill others or themselves.

But if they take away the Guns the problem is still there. They will just stab people instead.

It would still be an improvement. You can stab a lot less people than you can shoot with an AR-15.

That depends. In China not so long ago a student killed 8 and injured 17 in a stab attack. Columbine was 13 dead between 2 guys, and most school shootings don't cross 7 dead. Guns have the issue of immediately alerting everyone.
