it doesn’t matter how many psychedelics you’ve done or how many hours you’ve meditated or how many self help books you’ve read. What matters is how deeply and fully you can love.
 

And sure those things can help you reach higher levels of love. They can also create a monster of an ego. And it’s very difficult to tell the difference between the heart and the ego, because the ego is so so good at masking as True Self. 

We have to continually bring ourselves back to higher states of consciousness. Goodness, love, joy.

You know that there's so much to understand about love that it flips the other way.. is your enemy your lover? Are all marriages love when we understand we're cursed? 

If love goes down to the deepest roots of blood, then how can we love somebody from miles away?

 The ego is limiting, it attaches itself to stories and identities and automatically must judge whatever is in opposition, so it indeed stands in the way of love sometimes, and by letting go of it we can embrace more of this love.

Love or Bliss (you only want Love, Connectedness, Completeness because it gives You a great sense of Bliss) is the grease that keep things flowing smoothly, its is not a goal in and of itself, its just allows Enlightenment to happen smoothly and with Ease, why have challenges and suffering along the way when You can enjoy the ride and get there anyways!!!

personally speaking I've never knew what love is until i did mushrooms, I've meditated everyday for a year or so never skipped a day, all the work I've done sure helped me be less egoic and more self-loving, the questions remain still of how to reach the higher states of consciousness and what if there's a heaven after death .

Keep doing what Your doing, there is allot of unpacking to do, karma that has to come up and be dealt with, a Year of consistent Sadhana/Mediation practice is not going to deal with it all, but it will over time, keep doing what Your doing and you'll realize there is no other place that is a heaven of sorts, then a place like we are living here, its all internal, its all in how Your Perceive and Experience life within Yourself, You can determine Your own Experience, is it heavenly or hellish, that is our free will and choice to decided how we want to Experience it, but is a striving of sorts...

Love is the highest but it if you don’t appreciate the value of truth. Then you end up not loving as you’re still operating from negative ego mind.

This is probably because you’ve become closed up Mabye this was due to school or your home situation. If you fully accept the pass events and accepting the things in your daily life as opposed to resisting them in their current state. Then slowly overtime you’ll start to get the ability to feel love. 
 

When you take me to mushrooms, they basically take the default thinking patterns away and so your capacity for love is not restricted anymore.

yes this is true, but the problem with taking substances is that it may create subtle change, give a simple realization that there can be another way to BE within ones self, but its not Transformative generally speaking, Transformation means nothing of the old remains. So once in an Experience of Love/Bliss as a natural Experience then everything transforms, the perception of the world is transformed, and enhanced, then Life opens up, Possibility and Potentials in life become accessible, the path to Enlightenment comes closer to  living reality!

The substance won’t cause the transformation, but the realisation can cause the transformation. 

I potentially skipped a decade of spiritual work due by taking ketamine. I wouldn’t recommend ketamine, but you can have the same effect that I did on psychedelics.

I’m not enlightened, but I don’t need to any self inquiry work. As I can turn awareness on awareness at any moment, but because I’m not fully surrendered and I have Monkeymind habits I loose it. 

By the way, having awareness on awareness all the time is enlightenment.

I don't know about that, if You did the decade of spiritual work/sadhana who's to say You would still have the monkey mind??? I would never recommend to anyone to take psychedelics until the timing is right, for me that is when You have already laid the foundation from some sort of practice or method, You've had realizations already, are grounded in reality already, you just want a grander experience, and using dmt or something else may help in this way, but its infrequent and not too be used too much, otherwise the result is mostly disastrous I think for most ppl generally..

Yes doing it in conjunction of a practice is important. Other wise it may transform your life but not accelerate your spiritual growth.

@Flowerfaeiry it is actually very easy to recognize from your behavior. İf one truly behaves as everyone is him/her that's love, which brings help to others, selflessness, patient, understanding, etc .... Of others.

I would say that love is a natural consequence of having dissolved the barriers of the ego, but not the end in itself. the true goal is openness, an unobstructed, unlimited mind. This open mind is reality and perceives itself as such, its substance is the substance of reality, creative force, intelligence, abundance. You can call this love, but love seems to imply attachment.
