Does listening to the chant 'Om' (🕉) help with relaxation, focus, and spiritual purification? And Does listening to chants like 'Ganesh Mantra' help in removing obstacles, and does 'Om Mani Padme Hum' contribute to spiritual purification and well-being?

Repeating anything will help as you chant you will be able to see the mind that is not you it will try to interrupt you.

I personally think that humans have given certain sounds meaning in the psyche of humans. So chants would be inside your dna.

I think they help.

Its better to do it yourself as you can easily just daydream while listening to it. I think you need to be focused on the mantra not thinking about something else.

Sadhguru describes om as like a growl of an empty stomach.

@Biscuit om is claimed to be the most powerful sound you can create. I.e it’s creates the most fast/transformative effects. I heard this from buddist traditions, Hindus and even essassani. How or why I have no idea :D

Anyone who says they’re enlightened on this form in anyway is not, except me I am.

Deepak Chopra mentions they did studies of chanting the sounds Om, (A, I, E, U, M) and are really good for you.  I heard it in an audiobook of his and don't recall the specific studies or benefits at this moment. But, chanting these sounds has proven to be good for overall well being.

I think the chanting/ singing has lots of health benefits, and when you chant something with intention you can have really positive results.

Chanting these words, with intention can for sure be part of a solid spiritual practice. Try it yourself, and if it works for you then it's a good choice. Though, I think these sorts of things come down to personal preference as well.

It's important to realize that these are ancient tools, and to approach them with openness but also question them. I think intention plays a big roll.

A minor key make you feel sad, a major key happy. Sound definitely plays a roll in how your whole body operates.

When it comes to chanting for protection, good fortune, etc. I don't know about that. As long as you live with principles of right action, effective interaction, critical thinking and intuition... I think the chanting can help when done maturely.
