my life purpose...

6 posts in this topic

my life purpose is to understand reality. understand myself.

everything else is secondary.

hence, i dont actually care that much about money.

but isolation and lack of social connection is very hard to deal with so I must get those ducks in a row.

probably me weakest link in the chain.

i will work on getting my degree in CS and math (that is what i currently study) in the mean time and then get a good paying job.

currently i am doing peasant work in a warehouse and i dont have much money left each week nor can i afford to move out

which is a huge problem since living with certain people takes a toll on me emotionally

i need to seek support also

Money is also a part of the reality, it's not always in form of a currency rather sometimes in form of your ideas and your precious time and your contribution to the nature . People belive what they been told about the exchange rate, and set of beliefs around it. They take money as given.

I think anyone who walks the self path should be capable to set what money is for themselves and others.

@PenguinPablo Dual degree? Why not just math for Uni? I feel like since you are already working on a Math degree, just do CS on the side. Self learn from CS courses on MITOCW, or other free university courses out there. Also maybe complete all the exercises in "The C," by Kernighan and Ritchie, to get a good foundation in low level programming.

Idk... just some ideas to jog your mind, because isn't a Dual degree much more expensive?

Umm won't be too expensive the way that I am doing it (I only need to do like 3 classes at my uni and have already transferred in the vast majority of courses from my previous stints in college)

Also it will only be like 2-3 additional classes to double major since I dropped out of college a long time ago

Figured it would help when applying for jobs versus other applicants (also I find math interesting)

I definitely want to check out the low level programming book you recommened
