Calling that "better" is sick. It's the difference between skating downhill vs skating uphill. Skating downhill is easier but it also leads you off a cliff. So it's not better.

I know its just us observing the process of the global realignment. It just sucks is all. 

Then again Leo corruption in authoritarian governments that we are aligning with is a global norm so *shrug*.

Corruption and Conspiracy/Lies etc are two of the things I have resisted most but I have to accept that what we are aligning with by pulling closer to the eastern authoritarian governments is a dose of both.

Sadly, all of that is inevitable.

We already are going to live through one of the darkest times in US History.

Millions upon millions of Americans are already either going to die or suffer beyond what we can imagine during Trump's 2nd. presidency. You know that.

I really don't see any other way for us to get out of the darkness that's coming besides putting up a fight we haven't seen since the 1800s.

I agree. They market heavily in fear and controversy which is what most people engage in. Look at republicans from 10 years ago like Mitt Romney. He talks politely and intellectually. In short modern politics, what’s needed to get voters in the booth for you, requires the same childish clickbait trolling attitude that is present today across social media, Fox News and the like. This didn’t fly in the past because society was less polarized, divided, people didn’t have a reason to argue with each other and economically things were more stable and better. People go towards blaming and fear when there are more perceived challenges in the world and it it’s like a downward spiral until people realize how destructive the way of living is.

Bluster is all that conservatives essentially have because their politics is self-dealing and selling out the country, I.E. they have no politics. They go as low as they can, appealing to fear and selling simplistic solutions to complex problems. Its basically a scam.

Progressive politics require a degree of education to understand let alone appreciate, so progressive will always be disadvantaged in that sense.

People need to raise their standards ultimately.
