“The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) - which monitors fighting in Syria - said about 745 civilians were killed in 30 "massacres" targeting Alawites on the west coast on Friday and Saturday.

The BBC has not been able to independently verify the death toll of the escalating violence, believed to be the worst since the fall of the Assad regime.”

I don’t even know what to say other than this was inevitable and blood boiling.

Wrong because there are no different factions left and the syrian rebels have taken over everything. The minority groups will be fine and Syria is finally back to Syrians. Also, the Syrian rebels includes people from all over Syria.

in Syria we lived as Muslims and Christians next to each other for hundreds of years and we will continue to.

You can’t compare us to Iraq and Libya. Syria has it own complex makeup which makes it very diverse and unique. Just watch us succeed as a country finally.

Ah yes, that has aged so well.

Dude, of course it has aged well.
The alwaites are fine and are living with us happily.
Those who were with the old regime deserve to be prosecuted because they butchered us for 14 years.
I’m not gonna even bother watching whatever you linked because I actually know people on the ground who telling every part of the story.
not like whatever bullshit CBN news that you linked that has some agenda.

Edit: I checked what you linked and it’s laughable at best and unprofessional at worst.
when it comes to Syria, you have to know people on the ground and check 10 different sources because the Syrian situation has so many sides that you can’t understand it with some bullshit one sided narrative video

You offer nothing but personal attacks that don’t add subtance to the discussion.

If I talked to a nazi from germany during the holocaust, I would not take his opinion seriously, especially if he was as blatant in his ignorance as you are. The fact that you are native makes you more bias, not less. It makes you more prone to delusion and self-deception, and less informed given you have a clear identity build around the idea that this regime is something that you want it to be.

This is just self-deception.

You don't get to lock a thread because you don't enjoy being confronted with the truth.

No. It’s just because you think I’m self deceived because I’m bias and I think you are self deceived because you don’t know enough about Syria.
So I don’t think there will be any conversation of subtance here except blaming each other.

A quote :

“The violence erupted after loyalists of ousted dictator Bashar Assad ambushed a Syrian security patrol last week. This led to intense clashes and a series of revenge killings targeting Assad's Alawite sect. But civilians from other groups were also reportedly killed”

@integration journey What about the videos of Syrians being killed recently? Who were they and what’s the reason? Is it a extreme faction of HTS doing but that isn’t approved by the government?

Some are saying it’s an extreme faction of HTS that were not properly trained and some are saying it’s the milita there was once part of the Assad system that are hiding in caves on the west coast of Syria. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle.

I hope for no more bloodshed so that the country can be rebuilt.
