The implications of nobody-ness

7 posts in this topic

It means for example:

nobody has to feel good

nobody has to be kind

nobody has to be a good person

nobody has to be interesting

nobody has to be depressed

nobody has to heal

nobody has change the world

nobody has to be helpful

nobody has to be beautiful

nobody has to be a good woman/man

nobody has to be tough

nobody has to be cool

nobody has to be a good son/daughter/mother

nobody has to represent their race, nationality, gender, identity

nobody has to heal

nobody has to be smart

nobody has to be fun

nobody has to keep it together

nobody has to have good vibes

nobody has to be optimistic/pessimistic/realistic

nobody has to be safe

nobody has to rich

nobody has to please others

nobody has to get enlightened

nobody has to brace for a future

nobody failed

nobody has to live a good life

nobody has to get life "right"

nobody has to get better

nobody has to prove anything

nobody has to be deep

nobody has to be not neurotic

nobody has to be entertaining

nobody has to be fit

nobody has to fit in

nobody has to have a position

nobody has to defend a position

nobody has to be funny

nobody has to be tall

nobody has to be slim

nobody has to be not tired

nobody has to smile

nobody has to understand something

nobody has to like you

nobody has to be empathetic to "you"

 and so on

etc. it’s endless and quite obvious.

My self hasn’t dropped away and it doesn’t have to. But when these thoughts ^^ come up it can feel quite freeing that’s why i posted it. Being a separate self can feel very agitating and neurotic. And all those need to, shoulds and shouldn’t etc. are mostly causing it i guess.

Also saying nobody has to be a good person obviously doesn’t mean someone is now becoming bad or whatever.

The way the ego works fundamentally causes problems. So you have an attachment, automatically means you fear the loss of it. You have an identity as something, automatically means you must judge the opposite. So it’s the fundamental structure of the ego that causes these problems one has. What we can do if we don’t manage to dissolve the structures is to do our best to work with it, so if it makes you feel better by thinking like you wrote in the post, then that’s a good thing. You’ve become aware of some of the problems of the ego and found some solution

@Sugarcoat Yes this also works on very subtle levels in waking reality. If you see a person you deem beautiful you automatically attach to them. If have any negative or positive reactions to anything you form an attachment. If the brain stops doing this with everything it will go into a different state the brain has and it will experience a different reality to this one.

The reason why it hasn't is because there's already no small self to fall away. To recognize your true nature you just have to recognize what you're not and you're not anything you can perceive including the body/mind.
