I have been doing a practice called 5 rhythms for 2-3 years now and it's definitely changed my life - basically people get together and dance and there's a general encouragement to let go and be authentic. The quote from its creator Gabriel Roth is 'If you don't dance your dance, who will?.'

 

It also is actually a trauma healing/spiritual practice though, you dance what's called a wave and basically you are encouraged to let go of different parts of yourself through the medium of different music with different rhythms.

These days I relieve my stress through painting. Feels similar to a dance.

I like how she sees dancing. I saw Leo's original post about it as well. Martin Ball also mentioned in one of his interviews that he prefers dance like no one is watching even over sitting meditation. This is something just as of yesterday, I've decided to incorporate.
