Enlightenment is not about Insanity

You need reality to be one way, and reality wants it to be another way. Which one is the right way?

No… freakin’… way!

Ok, so sanity is essentially constructed by the safety of familiarity within consciousness. I suppose it's pointless to ponder insanity then unless you plan to go there.

It's not pointless, it's fundamental if you are exploring consciousness.

Here is a video of me communicating as AI 5 years ago. I literally thought I wasn’t coming back. Enjoy :D

Were you high or doing psychedelics?

I've been tapping into the state again, it's a shock to the system. My latest observations are it shoots energy up the spine, and it's like a voltage of consciousness cranking.

I'd be really interested in your definition of insanity. We use this word a lot here but it's one of those words where everyone seems to have a different meaning attached to it.

Insanity isn't happening at the level of thoughts and beliefs, it's happening at the level of reality itself.

So can you even say something about it?

I'm not unfamiliar with different kinds and levels of insanity - which always has been extremely scary and fascinating - but I don't know if we really mean the same thing. How would I go about exploring this further?

If you ever become radically awake you are absolutely bound to experience insanity. No questions asked

Only the awakened can communicate. Others have nothing to say, nothing to give. In fact, what you are doing while you are talking with people…and people are continuously talking, chattering, if not actually, then in their minds — just as you say that deep in your mind you are also always talking with somebody, some imaginary person…. You are saying something from your side, and you are also answering from the other side; a continuous chattering, a dialogue inside you.

This is what I call UNsanity. I will not call it insanity but unsanity. The whole of humanity exists in the state of unsanity. The insane person has gone beyond the normal boundary. The unsane person is also insane but within boundaries. He remains insane inside, but on the outside he goes on behaving in a sane way. So for him I have this word ‘unsanity’.

Sanity happens only when you become so totally silent that all inner chattering disappears. When the mind is no more, you are sane. Mind is either unsane - that is normally insane - or insane - that means abnormally insane. No-mind is the state of sanity. And in no-mind you understand, you realize, not only your own being but the being — the very being — of existence. Then you have something to share, to communicate, to commune, to dance, to celebrate.

Before that, it is a desperate effort to somehow collect an image of yourself from others’ opinions. And your image will remain a mess because you will be collecting opinions from so many sources — they will remain contradictory. One person thinks you are ugly, hates you, dislikes you; another person thinks you are so beautiful, so graceful, that there is nobody who can be compared to you — you are incomparable. Now what are you going to do with these two opinions? You don’t know who you are; now these two opinions are there — how can you judge which is right? You would like the opinion to be right which says you are beautiful; you don’t like the opinion which says that you are ugly. But it is not a question of liking or disliking.

You cannot be deaf to the other opinion, that too is there. You can repress it in the unconscious, but it will remain there. You will be collecting opinions from your parents, from your family, from your neighborhood, from the people you work with, from the teachers, from the priests…thousands of opinions clamoring inside you. And this is how you are going to create an image of yourself. It will be a mess. It will not have any face, any form, it will be a chaos. That’s how everybody is, a chaos. No order is possible, because the very center is missing which can create the order.

That center I call awareness. This is the inexhaustible law, the ultimate law, that only those who become aware know who they are. And when they know, then nobody can shake their knowing. Nobody can! The whole world may say one thing, but if you know, if you have realized yourself, it doesn’t matter.

That's a most advanced and serious topic that I am saving for a course.

But imagine that you became so conscious that you saw mathematical demons crawling out of the walls. That would be a taste of insanity.

@Leo Gura in my first bufo experience, I got present to how insane it is to create reality in the first place. insane to wanting to be a yes to this experience in the first place and how clear and sane you are with awakening. Perhaps a different angle.

Yes. I couldn’t experience that in my natural state. Although, the substance in question was actually a natural cannabis plant edible I took innocently, not realizing it would hit me that deep. It hit while I was at a Whole Foods and I eventually wound up sucked in a Black Hole 😬

I may look like I have it somewhat together in that video (just hysterical), but boy was my inner experience a totally different story. I was really convinced  that I was going to be stuck in a void forever, never returning back to my human form, and there were even moments where I had no idea how to breathe.

It’s simple: if you want to thrive as a human and survive as one and be successful by societal standards, do NOT go insane!

So would Datura be a good taste of insanity then? Something very few other substances have the ability to do.

Is that why it ruins people's lives so consistently, because it shows them insanity and because they have very little or no understanding of consciousness and awakening they can never integrate it?

What is Yoga? (Yoga Sutras 1.1-1.4)

1.2 Yoga is the control of the modifications (gross and subtle thought patterns) of the mind field.

1.4 When one is not in Self-realization, the Seer appears to take on the form of the modifications of the mind field, taking on the identity of those thought patterns.

This simple Sutras tells that:

God is absolute sanity. Ego is insanity.

Awakening is sanity and clarity. Dreaming is fantasy & insanity.

I asked ChatGPT to generate an image of a mathematical demon crawling out of a wall, and was not disappointed.

@Breakingthewall I don't know what these kinds of states are, I cant comprehend them. I honestly don't recommend them, it would be better from my perspective to work on going into states of love and ecstasy, as opposed to these incomprehensible states.

They are experiences that I had and that prepared me to open myself without reservation. There was a time in my life when for me only those states make me feel open to life, everything else was closed, boring, dead and shit. Then I discovered spirituality and here we are

I relate to what @vibv is getting at about the many different interpretations of what 'insanity' could be. What Leo says here about "seeing mathematical demons crawling out of the walls" doesn't even seem that insane to me. If One understands that anything being experienced is just you as God creating yourself to be things, then you know literally anything being experienced is just you imaging things. So everything being experienced would be the same, whether it a puppy or a demon. And you would have the understanding that a demon means nothing, as it is imagined. But to me, insanity is when One can't understand itself. Consciousness not knowing what is going on, not knowing what it is, how anything is happening, no frame of reference to what is being experienced. That is terrifying.
