Nice video. I love how he's just living life. Not trying to fight anything. He smokes, he drinks rice wine, his hand is all messed up from the war and he's just smiling all the way through. Married and she looks happy too. He's not struggling with the stuff he's going through he's just life living. These are the kinds of people that inspire me, makes me see the beauty of life itself and not how we think life should be.

There are always the Freaks of Nature, Unique beings, they can do everything we are taught not to do and get away with it lol.. But he is into rituals, buddhist philosophy and he did say he needs more money and does want to sleep.. But Yes its a good example of how to be when in tough situations, or at least tougher than what I am living in.. Some are just blessed with more of whatever You want to call it, that is karma at play, others need to work at it much more, for those they can't just be happy go lucky, each person has to find out what they want out of life and then decide how to get there..

Karma Means "Life is my Making", I am 100% responsible for my Inner Experience. -Sadhguru..."I don''t want Your Dreams to come True, I want something to come true for You beyond anything You could dream of!!" - Sadhguru

It’s true he seems to be a very simple, chill person.

sadhguru saying that a guy can live without rebreathing. It doesn't say you can hold your breath for 20 minutes, it says you can live without breathing, and that is impossible.

@Breakingthewall I see it like this: If Reality/Awareness is all that there is, then the awareness/reality of the body is the same one of the air, is just since these two are codependent the awareness that is creating the body has a certain dependence on the awareness of the air.

However imagine you get to a place of such intense awareness, you just become conscious your body is itself made out of yourself, in that awareness, you prevent any type of thought that would arise about you needing to breath.

Of course this had to be like the yogui did, sit, in silence. You could not maintain this type of awareness just walking around or going to work.

In other words the state of realization of the yogui would be equal to being dead. Being conscious the body is imaginary and is being created by him, so the neccesity of needing air again just doesn´t arise because that belief was due to Maya (illusion)

Nah

Bring me such a yogi. I will put him under water for 7 hours and film it.

After a while he’ll most likely end up like houdini/eminem in this video.

A Yogui asked to be covered in mud to the point of covering his own body and not being able to breath, seems this Yogui (Sri bramha) wanted to verify that the consciousness was able to keep the body alive without needing the input of prana/oxygen/air.

In the minute 3:45 he explains how this is possible:

"Once you are not more dependent upon the external manifestations of the 5 elements", [...you are not more a part of the creation, you are the Creator himself"

Magic.

You have not seen miracles in this world yet, but magic is possible.   What isn't possible?  Reality is Infinite.

Ok then bring me such a yogi and we can test it together.

I‘m open for the possibility but i want to test it. Keep your fairy tales.

It doesn't work that way.   That's like saying OK..show me proof that reality is Infinity!!

Well- you can't prove Infinity because proof is held within Infinity and is prior to it.  So it cannot capture it.  Just the same you can't capture these sort of things with your human tests.   They just happen prior to that.  Because it's something more fundamental.   You can drown some guy claiming to be a guru and chances are he will die.  But maybe one day he is out kayaking by himself and is thrown overboard.  He loses his ground and is underwater way too long.  Yet somehow, miraculously, he rises to the surface and squints at the sun.  Alive.  Somehow - unexplained by science.

Such horse 💩

Believing in such crap is the same mechanism that makes jihadis unalive themselves and lots of others while thinking they will get 47 virgins in heaven or an ak 47 or something. This stupid believing crap caused a lot of suffering for humanity. 🦭

So science is all there is?  I thought you were open to possibilities.   Are we bound by the laws of physics?

It’s not necessarily about science but if you want to call it that fine. It’s about testing it for yourself and letting go of fairy tales.

It's important to recognize that the heart breathes prana, even without the lungs. Prana will energize and sustain the body when the heart is in phase with the whole of Creation.

What does he mean by existing?

A human body, as far as I know, can't survive without oxygen for long.

@Javfly33 Yogic masters have claimed so since time immemorial. I have experienced it, certainly possible. In fact, it's good that this is spoken of because many practitioners force the breath again to happen, when it is truly recommended to let go into kevala kumbhaka, the breathless states of Consciousness. It so happens that suddenly one realizes breathing hasn't been happening, for quite some time and no need for it to begin again, one is, breathing then returns of its own accord or by conscious will.

Precisely.   And welcome back - thought you busted this popsicle stand ? :)

Just ask him for Mod status I think it suits you.

You obtain the proves of your believes, that’s why spiritually isn’t provable.

Science is also believing in studies that you haven’t tested yourself. And at many points in history people were believing in weird sciences. For example the spanish colonialists had a science on how to measure peoples worth. So the top were the spaniards from spain, then spaniards from colonies etc. Then indigenous american and spaniard mixed and so on and it all sounded very scientific at that point.

Thats just believing but you're right....  Belief in general is very conceptual.   Science and testing is still conceptual too, not actual.  Had i not experienced magical shit directly myself- heck - all you need is a single mystical experience for that - I guess you're right- I would be subscribing to a belief - a belief in something beyond science.  Which is on the same level as believing in science if I hadn't done the tests directly.

In a Sadhguru interview (and i’m not a fan)

I think he said something like as a kid he didn’t believe in anything, he’d stare at things for hours to figure them out. And he told his teacher i don’t believe this and i don’t believe that. Yet his followers just believe him.

and that’s just another story.
