Sadhguru admits is possible to exist without breathing

147 posts in this topic

A Yogui asked to be covered in mud to the point of covering his own body and not being able to breath, seems this Yogui (Sri bramha) wanted to verify that the consciousness was able to keep the body alive without needing the input of prana/oxygen/air.

In the minute 3:45 he explains how this is possible:

"Once you are not more dependent upon the external manifestations of the 5 elements", [...you are not more a part of the creation, you are the Creator himself"

@Javfly33 Nice sharing, have not seen that One..

The Non Dualist here will say this is all gibberish, not needed, too much work, everything is just appearance bla bla bla, but they don't see it or realize it..

Sadhguru is not just about Enlightenment, being Blissful and such, he's about the Mechanics of Life, experiencing all that this Life (Potential) has to offer, and how to navigate thru it, so You just don't disappear and are no good to the ppl left behind here, so that is why I like him so much, he's logically/intellectual correct, Energetically highly intense, always Blissful and Laughing, and walks the walk, doesn't just talk about it like many here...

@Javfly33 Yogic masters have claimed so since time immemorial. I have experienced it, certainly possible. In fact, it's good that this is spoken of because many practitioners force the breath again to happen, when it is truly recommended to let go into kevala kumbhaka, the breathless states of Consciousness. It so happens that suddenly one realizes breathing hasn't been happening, for quite some time and no need for it to begin again, one is, breathing then returns of its own accord or by conscious will.

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty. We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Virtuous and Conscious. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life God is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, ... Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

@Javfly33 you have the biggest superpower, you create everything via thinking, which can be understand after recognition of what You are and another super power is love, you just have to reveal the energy of love.

You are the creater as Shadguru says. How do you create, what is your idea?

I create my Experience Consciously or Unconsciously, I create the world around Me situationally, I create my reaction or response to the world around Me, I create the Intentions then the Actions that come from the Intentions.. I am the Creator and a piece of the Creation at the sametime..

You create by becoming Conscious of the Foundation of what You Are, and that is what we there before creation happened, a Grand sort of Intelligence beyond calculation, emotion, intention, intellect, ideology and such, its so grand it can do trillions of things within a cell within what we consider one second...

I find it sad in a metaphorical way because it just leads to ignorance and that leads to suffering and more suffering leads to me having to deal with it everyday lol... A suffering population means more bullshit to deal with everyday in real life functionality... it gets old after awhile:)

It is strange that never, not even once, have these yogis undertaken a scientific test of their prowess. I understand that they are far above something as crude as science, so stupid and naive, but as a condescension to the underdeveloped inferior Westerners, they could have the enormous condescension, at least once, to demonstrate their cheap magician tricks with a team of scientists testing.

Wrong..

Swami Rama's abilities were tested scientifically at the Menninger Foundation in Topeka, Kansas in 1971. The tests demonstrated his ability to produce different brain waves, control his heart rate, and create temperature differentials:

Brain waves

Swami Rama was able to produce alpha waves, theta waves, and delta waves at will. He could stay aware throughout and describe what was happening in the lab.

Heart rate

Swami Rama voluntarily stopped his heart from pumping blood for 17 seconds by increasing his heart rate to 300 beats per minute.

Temperature differentials

Swami Rama was able to create a temperature differential of 5 degrees Celsius between two areas on the palm of his right hand. He was also able to raise and lower the temperature in adjacent muscles by 10°F.

Swami Rama's abilities were widely reported in the media and increased interest in his teachings."

Doctors super surprised how Sadhguru could perform the activities he did while having 2 brain bleeds happening and severe pain, and talk about his ability to recover from this and Brain surgery much faster than expected...

Those are possible things, change your brain waves is possible for any meditator, change your heart rithm is impressive, but heart rithms changes, same than temperature. What would be more impressive would be stop breathing, because it's impossible. Same than levitation, or other things that goes against physics. Change your temperature doesn't goes against physics

I haven't mastered it yet personally, but I don't suffer now anymore I think on any real level, I experience pain on all levels for sure, that never leaves Us, but I don't suffer it... Suffering comes from Unconsciousness, reactivity, being a slave to outside situations, resistance to what is. living mentally in the past and future...
