Breaking News: Syrian Rebels have entered Aleppo

The city of Hama is about to be captured soon as well.

I was going to originally disagree with this, because I assumed the capture of Aleppo was only because the Syrian Army was caught massively off guard. That not the Syrian Arab Army is in full awareness of the situation, they're going to make a swift and powerful counter offensive.

But looking at the map, the rebels are getting disturbingly closer to Hama. Although, the original forcefulness and speed at which Aleppo was captured has waned significantly, and will continue to diminish with Russian airstrikes.

The Syrian army can barely get their shit together after 13 years of war. They want Iran to intervene.

Quotes from the Oded Yinon plan which seems to be how history has unfolded till today

https://www.voltairenet.org/IMG/pdf/A_strategy_for_Israel_in_the_Nineteen_Eighties.pdf

''Every kind of inter-Arab confrontation will assist us in the short run and will shorten the way to the more important aim of breaking up Iraq into denominations as in Syria and in Lebanon.''

''Lebanon’s total dissolution into five provinces serves as a precedent for the entire Arab world including Egypt, Syria, Iraq and the Arabian peninsula and is already following that track. The subsequent dissolution of Syria and Iraq into ethnically or religiously unique areas, as in Lebanon, is Israel’s primary target on the Eastern front in the long run. The dissolution of the military power of these states serves as the primary short-term target''

''Dispersal of the population is therefore a domestic strategic aim of the highest order; otherwise, we shall cease to exist within any borders. Judea, Samaria and the Galilee are our sole guarantee for national existence, and if we do not become the majority in the mountain areas, we shall not rule in the country and we shall be like the Crusaders, who lost this country which was not theirs anyhow, and in which they were foreigners to begin with. Rebalancing the country demographically, strategically and economically is the highest and most central aim today.''

I feel like arguing with non Syrians for what is best for syria doesn’t really lead to productive discussions. Assad must go point blank. We can deal with the “Islamists” when they come. We have to choose the lesser of two evils so we can lead Syria to a better place.

The Kurds, Christians, Druze and Alwaites will always be part of Syria and the future of Syria. The rebels have changed their ideology and are providing everything for them in Aleppo because they are part of us. I don’t like the Islamists but it’s a step forward from Assad butchering people and bombing cities.

Assad and Islamists no thanks.

I'm rooting for the Syrians to find an end to the war and sanctions.
Anything else. No thanks.

The amount of organizations affiliated with the rebels is absurd.

It is perfect timing to kick Russian and Iranian influence out of that region. Turkey doesn't want Russia on its border.
