Are my pans free from PFAS?

I've been using this non-stick ProCook pan along with their stainless steel pots for the past four years, assuming it was safer than Tefal. How can I tell if it is free from PFAS?

I would say to ask the manufacture, but then I realized that they probably won’t give you a 100% honest answer.

So, really, there isn’t a perfect way to tell. Switch to a stainless steel pan if it really bothers you.

I wouldn’t lose sleep over it either way.

I dont think it is, not sure. Ugh its really annoying as non stick is so common and convenient to use everyday. Does anyone know what other materials other than stainless steel are ´safer´ for pans?

carbon-steel or cast-iron. if you treat them with care and properly use them, they last forever.

full-ceramic pans are also great. thats the ones im mostly using.

If it is your first time using cart-iron, be very careful not to burn yourself, especially because the handle gets scorching hot. Respect Mike Tyson Chicken.

There is no such thing as a safe nonstick pan.

The only safe pans are steel or glass or clay.

In case it helps anyone, after doing a lot of research on stainless steel pans, I decided to buy this model : Demeyere Industry 5. I still need to try it out as it arrived yesterday. But from my research, it is of very good quality.

@Leo Gura I'd be interested to know which models you use or like?

All-Clad is great. Calphalon is good. Many other good ones.

Hex-clad pans and steel pans. Hexclad are good for sticky substances.

It's definitely annoying. I make eggs for breakfast most days and if I use stainless steel, no matter how much oil or butter I put theres always some stuck to the pan, which is a pain to remove.

May look into ceramic.

Google how to cook with stainless steel. You just don’t know how to use it.

@Leo Gura huh, when I looked into them they are good enough. What’s the critique that you know that seems to be uncommon knowledge about ceramic? Heavy metals?

Ceramic pans are not actually made of ceramic. They are just coated with a ceramic chemical coating. That coating chips off and contains God-only-knows what concoction of synthetic chemicals.

You are not buying a solid chunk of ceramic. Ceramic pans are just marketing BS.

@Leo Gura Makes sense, thanks. I knew it was a coating and could chip. I use it for eggs at low heat.

Basically, it’s free of one chemical which they use in marketing but may contain another. 
I know when it chips it’s done.

@Thought Art I cook eggs in stainless steel all the time. Easy to make an omelet.

I haven't used a nonstick pan in like 10 years.

@Leo Gura What about pots and saucepans? Is it also important that they are all stainless steel, and preferably of good quality?

I'm currently looking to replace them as well. I'm not sure about the quality or even the materials of the ones we use.
