Actualizing "being" - need practical insights

3 posts in this topic

I've been doing an exercise for the past year and more. It's basically "remove any external factors which motivate you". I'm sure some of you here must have done something similar.

I've had multiple insights from it. (As well as stages of Nihilism, they were beautiful episodes.). Following are some of the insights.

1. Everyone is equal/one, a rock = human, beggar = billionaire. It's not so much about the content, it's about the "=". Practically, it means that every human is equal, and nothing can change it. And I'm glad it is so.

2. I've been experiencing the energy, intent as a real thing. For example, reading how others feel about certain things that they are not even conscious of. And this is a door which would have opened up a lot of trouble if not for the first insight.

3. I'm not a human. Yes, it looks like I'm human. But that's not what I mean. (Please, no alien jokes. You'll hurt my feelings)

4. There's been this question, I have the ability to see this, but why wouldn't I just wanna keep the illusion. Having the ability to transcend it is not often something I personally wanted to exercise. Strangely enough I don't remember why I made that choice. Survival perhaps. May be the allure..

My question is precisely about the point 4. I fucked up, or rather it exceeded my initial expectations. The journey is now in a standstill. Perhaps it's my intent. I started this journey in hopes that it will motivate action from a true source.

And at one point it transcended the need for action, and it transcended the need for a purpose. Simply "being" is the ultimate high, regardless of how mundane it may be. But it's not as solid as the other insights. It's not integrated into my being, yet.

If you've gone through this stage, I'd appreciate it if you can share some brutal exercises to actualize "being".

Remember, actions doesn't matter, being does. I hope I make my stance clear to newbies.

@ryoko ,

Thought I would leave a couple of links and give an opinion or two. I like the subject. You may not agree with what I leave. That’s perfectly fine. My statements are often too preachy or blunt so please pardon my delivery of the material.

This point was made to me a few years ago and It helped my understanding. Being is not who I am, it’s something I have. In the New Testament and ACIM also, the wording or question is,,, Do you have your being?

My degree of being fluctuates every day and I feel that’s normal.

@Zigzag Idiot The video is not helpful. There's some points, sadly, they have to water it down for the audience, it's truly sad.

Either way. Just talk talk about being is utter bullshit.

After I wrote the initial post, I went back to search it's roots.

Body, Mind, Emotions, Being.. It's the 4th.
Actualizing "being" would be first, being aware of it, and experiencing it just like we experience the body and physical sensations. It's similar to how much we can use our body. We can move our body, but can you do 100 pushups in a stretch? not unless you really want it and practice. Same goes for mind, emotions and being, what are you doing with it? How are you pushing it's limits.

In simple terms being is just experiencing "a certain form of energy" as something tangible. It's like having access to something else other than body, mind and emotions. There's definitely perks to it, just as we have perks of having a body. Some perks of being are these experiences of oneness, unity, with being you can influence the other 3 more directly. Mild version would be, using being to change your actions, mental states, emotions and something hardcore would be the various abilities, such as healing, black magic. It is just something which comes by honing in on this aspect. We "here" can't develop this overnight, I mean in human time frame.

Eastern Traditions' common "perception" have a false notion that "being" is superior, yada yada. It is certainly one of the more subtle, but it is "not" without the other 3. Each one of them have it's own depth. One characteristic of these 4 are, no matter which one it is, if you're strong in either one of those, you can influence the other 3. And at one point or other, you'll become aware of being. And it's totally natural.

A more holistic approach, is to make use of all 4 and hone in slowly on each, going wide before going deep. Instead of just going after the "superior" 4th. A certain stability is useful. But it's totally upto the individual. Nothing wrong with doing whatever you want with these 4.
