@AION and? If everyone thought like him there would be no need to defend Ukraine because there would be no war.

Yea, let's just all run away. Do a marathon around the world.

Have you lived in a war zone or places where attacks are quite common?

Like a decent human being that isn't willing to kill anyone.

Ironic, coming from someone who lives in safety and comfort while moralising to a person who lives in a war zone.

You want more individual freedoms for them, and yet you want Russia to win.

Those things don't go together.

So sad people are trying to make a shit fest out of what I said. I believe in duty to your country. And from the POV of Ukrainian government they are doing the best they can considering there are so many draft dodgers. If everybody ran away from duty, tyranny would roam the world. Plain survival shouldn't be the greatest good, especially for men. It is different if you a child or a woman.

It's not like Ukrainian or Russian military aren't corrupt and care about individual lives.

Also, Ukraine is the weaker one, so it's easy to say that Ukrainians need to fight and defend themselves.

You have to consider the development of the people. It's difficult to be a liberal in a warzone.

Also, you didn't answer my question.

Exactly, you 'believe' in duty. So is a belief. Nationalism is indoctrinated through culture means. So if you are born in a country where patriotism is a thing, you will think that is ‘natural’. But really is not.

Just to give you an idea at how it is around here, in lots of people in my country, if you wear a national flag people assume you are fascist/extreme right 😂 That will tell you how little patriotist we are

Is not my duty...I hate gov, you know im from Spain and much of us here have 0 patriotism feeling for our country, maybe is that. But never felt an inch of nationalism/patriotism. I always talked with my mother That if we ever get invaded we would immediately join the outside country 😂

It is not about nationalism but about values/morals; giving back versus only receiving. An invasion war still goes hand in hand with pillage and rape. Perhaps your yoga skills will come in handy with entertaining the invaders but other than that an invading force wouldn't need you. I hope you are making a joke and you are just trolling.

Mmmm , my Yoga skills are for something beyond war and not war, that doesn´t have anything to do here...

Before Yoga I did MuayThai for some years, don´t assume just because someone does a certain spiritual practice doesn´t know how to give you a punch if necessary.

Ok then, let's wait till your country gets invaded.

Your answer is not based on being in a warzone nor even understanding what people go through being in a warzone.

I believe in duty to your country.

And I believe that you should be my slave. What makes you think that you can force your believes onto other people?

Besides, you would also have to make an argument that fighting this war is what's best for Ukraine, which is yet to be proven. What you really are saying is that people have a duty to blindly follow your goverments orders.

Once again, if everyone ran away, there would be no war. I love how you use this argument only when it's convenient to you.

Once gain, good for you, but what makes you think that you have a right to push your arbitraty, pulled out of ass values, onto other people?

Before Yoga I did MuayThai for some years, careful assuming just because someone does a certain spiritual/high practice doesn´t know how to give you a punch if necessary.

I'm defending myself and the people around me. That is not a belief but that is action.

If there is a nation full of people who are not willing to fight for their country, they run to another country where men are willing to fight to defend themselves and their families. So in that case you become a liability for another country.

Not all soldiers are nationalist and subscribe to SD blue values. You can be any SD stage and fight for your the safety of you and people around you.

I don't know what you are talking about. I believe Zelensky made huge mistakes in provoking Russia and he should honour the treaties, make concessions to restore the peace.

I am talking about how in order to make an argument that "you have a duty towards your country, therefore you should go and fight in war", you should first prove thaat fighting in a war is what's best for your country.

Maybe what's best for his country is for him to run away so that he can keep Ukrainian heritage alive.

Maybe what's best for his country is to give up right now, survive under Russian occupation, and then gain independese once Putin's regime collapses. Saving hundreds of thousands of lives.

But you hypocrites only use "duty" when it means sending someone to get their legs blown up, accomplishing nothing. Simply because it sounds very cool and patriotic, and movie like. Life is not holywood.

I have been living extremely near to it for years.

You don't understand the psychological toll it has on people.

Says a guy who has ignored most of my points.

I didn't quote a part about Zelenskyi because I don't see how it is relevant to the argument I am making.
