" Somewhere in 2001, Corinne Alal sat for an interview with Kobi Midan and came out of the closet. A year before my Bar Mitzvah, everyone who was in the closet back then, like me, remembers that everyone was talking about it.

While people were either shocked or criticized her for coming out so late, people like us, who were still in the closet, saw that we weren't alone, that there were others like us, and that we were a rare breed.

Her soundtrack accompanied many people, both within and outside the community, and it accompanied me in my coming out, in my adolescence and adulthood.

It is this soundtrack that resonates with many, with the message that we have no other land, that there is a new and good world, and how important it is to suddenly see a crescent moon peeking through the darkness.

Corinne was a legend and left behind an amazing soundtrack to life. May her memory be a blessing "
