He had some legitimate populist positions. He called for US withdrawal from Iraq for example.

Even if he’s a fake populist at least that can provide an avenue to put some pressure on him if his fans expect that.

Keep in mind whatever major bad aspects he has will probably be present in whoever gets chosen regardless.

Do you realize that this is how right-wing populists like him and Trump or even Soviet-style communist populists like Hugo Chavez or Vladimir deceive suckers like into believing that they really have your best interests in mind?
