So what will happen now I wonder?

I made a similar thread in May when the prosecutor wanted the arrest warrants and now it is an official thing.

Do you guys think it will hurt Israel international standing, its trade deals and overall reputation?

I personally doubt they will ever be arrested since they are not forced to travel to the countries which actually have signed the treaty.

Neither has the US.

They won’t be arrested but this does hurt their ability to travel and may increase arms embargoes from other countries.

The US and Israel will probably start implementing counter measures. Israel had Mossad attempt to blackmail ICC officials and US senators were threatening to sanction their family members. These attempts will likely go in to overdrive. Whether it works or not depends on how committed the rest of the world is to the court.

I don’t think it will have much of an impact inside the US or Israel as they didn’t sign onto the ICC because they don’t want to give legitimacy to investigations into their military conduct  that they can’t directly control. The narrative they’re pushing is it’s all antisemitism, the Israeli public will believe it and the US public won’t but the US public doesn’t influence the government foreign policy much. 
 

In the long run this along with everything else will have major effects, Israel relies on US support but that won’t sustain as young people are much more skeptical of them, this case as well as future analysis will force further examination of Israel’s history and war conduct further moving the population away from them, at the same time inside Israel liberal Zionists are leaving whereas rightwing messianic zionists are growing due to their high birth rate, so probably what will happen is continuation of the current trend, escalating wars as Israel becomes more prone to extremism and surrounding militias continue to be founded and recruit from discontent of its actions which develop more weaponry and tactics over time to combat it, but now with declining US support until Israel will use the Samson option.

This is naive, even if they can’t directly address them this can have a major long term effect by making it harder for western countries to justify and associate with Israel. If it didn’t they wouldn’t have tried so hard to try and stop the decision. It provides legitimacy to the Palestinians claims if international legal experts stake their reputation on supporting it. It can also intimidate Israel into rethinking some behaviors to avoid more backlash.

Perhaps Western countries, especially European ones will distance themselves further given that Israel is officially ruled by a war criminal.

Could perhaps lead to further isolation for Israel?

Not to mention an awful PR for them.

It is wrong to conflate Israel with Russia.

Russia main allies are not countries that have signed the ICC treaty.

Iran, North Korea, China to be exact.

Meanwhile except the US, all Israeli allies have signed it.

Germany, UK, France for example.

This will likely lead to a ICC legitimacy crisis in western countries as I don't see any of its member state having the courage to arrest Netanyahu.
