Headphones For Brainwave Entrainment

5 posts in this topic

Does anyone who has had success with Brainwave Entrainment (such as holosync) have any recommendations for type/model of headphones? I'm looking for advice from an experienced user. Please no armchair philosophy thanks ;-).

I recommend normal Headphones for your Handy. This is enough to get the effect. Because with this you can use holosync in bed without hurting your ears when you lie on the side. I use Holosync for getting asleep very quickly

I bought the Sleephones (recommended by hemi sync). This headphone is like a comfy earband, so I can lie on my side comfortably. But I don't use it because it's not so clear as my cellphone's headphones, and I don't want to lie on my side because that way I fall asleep really fast.

@Colin I use Bose TP-1A's. Great sound reproduction, light weight, and they don't get hot wearing them. You can find them on Ebay used for a good price. You can get new replacement ear pads for them too that are easy to change.

As someone who has studied music technology and is also using Holosync I wouldn't worry too much about the quality of headphones, although there's no harm in buying some really good ones if you've got the money. Just make sure to get some in-ear or over-ear headphones in order to block out as much external noise as possible (i.e. not the normal Apple headphones). If you want to splash out then i'd recommend the Beyerdynamic DT770 Studio headphones (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Beyerdynamic-DT770-Pro-Headphones-Ohm/dp/B0016MNAAI).
