Isn't Personal Development The Final Goal Of Everything?

8 posts in this topic

Whatever fantasies you may have. All kinds of philosophical questions and answers streaming through your mind. But would you like to get stuck in it forever just rambling and thinking. Yeah I agree that it helps in intellectual growth, but how much do you want. Will there be an end. How about streamlining and optimizing everything to tailor your needs. Why not ma k r self transcendence and self development your ultimate goal ? Is that being selfish ?

Keep yourself on the line and watch yourself.

Are you really facing your shadows and demons and working towards a better YOU or just engaging in purposeless engagement.

Is this perpetual distraction helping you or taking you away from what's REAL

Time to think ......am I right ?    No ?

What are you doing.

Where were you?

What did you do ?

time is up.

And the time is now

The goal of all goals is the one that encompasses and contains all the other goals, allowing them to be achieved.

Personal development is always on-going, but once you get past a certain threshold of development other things, other kinds of focus arise and personal development becomes a branch on the tree rather than the tree itself.

Or we can put it this way. Once you develop yourself up to a certain point, then what do you do with all that development? What is this person being developed for?

Most people are in developmental scarcity, so the question immediately above may not be at the fore-front of their awareness, but once that scarcity changes into abundance, the pressures ease and we can see and choose more.

Developing is a natural process that happens regardless of whether we are aware of it or not but we can attempt to be an active influence in the process or we can let it happen randomly.

The paradox, yes and no.

No self - full self.

There is a way to resolve that paradox.

We are both being and becoming at the same time :)

I think the results of personal development are the final goal.  The theory and practice are just means to that end.  When I achieve the following I will know: total financial and interpersonal independence, happiness, peace of mind, loving and accepting myself presently, my past, and my future, high physical and mental health, and gifting my completed work on philosophy to myself and to the world (I've been working on a book for 10 years).
