Could Trump's Second Term Revive Jim Crow Laws and Slavery in America?😱

If democracy dies by the end of Trump's second term as president, then could all Jim Crow Laws return, despite the widespread consensus that such laws are still unthinkable in today's society?

• Racial Segregation in the South and rural areas of the country
• Voting restrictions that make it impossible for most black and brown people in America to vote, especially in the South and rural areas of the country
• Black and brown people being subjected to cruel and unusual punishments such as lynching, extreme violence, arrests without cause, extreme fines, etc. especially in the South and rural areas of the country
• Signs: "Whites Only" and "Colored" signs used to enforce the racial order. especially in the South and rural areas of the country
• Forbidding interracial marriage, especially in the South and rural areas of the country.

How about slavery? Could that return as well?

I thought our society's progress since the 1970s, along with today's political and legal landscape, made it impossible for the Right-wing to revive past atrocities. However, I am not so sure about that anymore because of the unprecedented nightmarish political power Trump, MAGA, and the Republican party will all have starting in 2025.

Or is all of this crazy talk?

As far as racial segregation, I think that would be tough. Society is already deeply racially integrated. And it's not clear to me that they're interested in that anyway.

I do expect to at least see a rise in racial hate crimes though. People are going to feel like they have license for their worst impulses.

Well, of course we should all expect a serious spike in racial and xenophobic crimes throughout the country. I also pray that we have mass protests and riots all over the country under Trump's watch again.

So, if you think that what I am saying is very unlikely to happen, then if more than 50% of Americans no longer give a damn about democracy anymore what else besides no more free and fair elections could happen?

Well, I actually don't see how they would be successful with carrying out mass deportations. Experts on this matter say that the government won't even have enough manpower and resources to carry that out. Plus, it would cause a serious economic recession by severely crippling the entire country's workforce.

If they end no-fault divorce, enact a complete federal ban on abortions without exception, ban contraceptives, end marriage equality, condemn single mothers while promoting only "traditional families" then will that cause a massive uprising amongst young people, women, and the LGBTQ+ community in this country?

I am also very worried about all of the other things on that radical right-wing wish list.

From what I heard on TYT, AFPI is actually the more likely agenda. But they're relatively similar in content.

Well, I honestly feel like reality has been slipping away from me since last week.

I am having a lot of trouble understanding what could or could not happen. 

Not to mention that there's now nothing positive to look forward to anymore.

You can look forward to the fight for justice and being a light for people in the darkness.

But you can't be a leader for anyone if you can't be stable in your own emotions. Acknowledge how you're feeling, but stay conscious and in control.

It just is an uncertain time right now. Such is life.

We were all living in an American bubble of unprecedented democratic success that said authoritarianism couldn't happen. When in reality, authoritarianism is the norm for most of humanity. Now we have to resist against it, just like people throughout all of history have done.

Why? Just because you take at them at their word or believe what Trump’s vision for the country will be at face value?

For all we know, the true depth of project 2025 could be even darker and more devastating than even what the Heritage Foundation is even letting on.
