Trump Appointees

I just realized, if trump fucks up hard enough, there could be a huge backlash and we might elect a social democratic president. I feel like we can't look too hard at the short-term

UK had like 14y of conservatives and they just recently elected a social democrat recently btw. Might not be all bad long term

Why are you just assuming there will be another vote?

There is no guarantee of that at this point.

He's not even president yet and he's already floating the idea of him serving a 3rd term:

Of course they're all saying "It was a joke".

If truth is the guide, there's no need for ideology, right or left.

Maturity in discussion means the ability to separate ideas from identity so one can easily recognize new, irrefutable information as valid, and to fully integrate it into one’s perspective—even if it challenges deeply held beliefs. Both recognition and integration are crucial: the former acknowledges truth, while the latter ensures we are guided by it.

Yes, it's extremely disturbing.

People are just not taking this seriously enough.

This statement alone is strong evidence that he'd stay in power forever if he could figure out how, not that you should need it to know that.

I think he's planting the seed early and maybe he'll manufacture a scenario that'll provide the Republican senate justification for giving him another term.

Does anyone know much about the Republican senate? I know they all band together on policy but doesn't it seem unlikely they'd support allowing him a 3rd term?

If he can't get the senate to go along, I'm sure there are other routes he could take, like declaring war or something like that.

Another potential thorn in his side is JD Vance, who will be very hungry for the position and might snake his ass with the help of Peter Thiel.

Brian Cohen did a good segment on this:

Most likely route right now seems to be "Trump's first term didn't count...because ya know, impeachment".

Then, why can't some charisma leader like Obama lead an extremely powerful movement to fight like hell for our country's democracy?!

What exactly does that take to make that happen like with the American Revolution or the Abolition movement or the Civil Rights movement?

This assumes people are wise enough to care about democracy and make scarifices for it.

If Trump actually overrules democracy, potentially you would have a serious leader rise up to challenge him.

My guess though is that such a movement would only have enough support once Trump actually does it. Things have to get bad enough for people to actually care.

And even then, it might be more of a "Trump has made things so bad, we just need someone else" kind of movement. Rather than people actually caring about higher ideals like democracy.

The most shocking thing about this election for me has been seeing people's apathy towards democracy. They just don't care. They care about their egg prices and all their other lower survival concerns. And they just want what they want, regardless of how or who is going to give it to them.

They will get neither democracy nor low egg prices.

That's a feature not a bug.

A democracy is supposed to offer people what they want.

That's even the sadder part.

Voting against their own interests.

Has there been any point in World History where the mass broke free from the kind of propaganda machine that deceives people?

It sounds like some are already positioning.

Wait, are you guys saying that most Americans no longer care about democracy, freedoms, or rights anymore?!

The majority of Americans actually now want a dictator to rule the country like Hitler, Putin, or Viktor Orban?!

Clown world 😂🤡  America voted for this I hope it gets worse!  We better enjoy the ride!  🫵😂

It's finally here.

No, wait! President Camacho actually cares about America and wants to make things better for everyone...

Rep. Wiley Nickel (D-NC) discusses his proposal to form a “shadow cabinet” and explains how it could work. It seems pretty unorthodox, and even undemocratic. But I guess it's a strategy.

No offense but you are being very foolish. I know personally RFK Jr. for a long while and he is a decent and extremely intelligent individual. He knows about vaccines much more than you can even imagine and he is well versed in science by the way. And he has people behind him who are genius. Indeed I am personally thinking to board the ship and come to help out.

And those who speak against him are big fools. You can’t even imagine people who are in Kennedy’s team, including few who do this type of work by the way and one who is a huge fan of psychedelics by the way. Not mentioning his name for obvious reason, but I am truly thinking to join to actually make psychedelics legal. This individual once Kennedy is in office will petition FDA to make them easily available, something that most of you can only dream about.

Just imagine walking in parks and instead of people smoking weed, they will be smoking DMT. And you will ask, but what about side effects???? Yes, psychedelics do have only one side effect and that’s “Enlightment”
