Trump's Second Term Threatens My Financial Livelihood

11 posts in this topic

SURVIVAL ALERT: Trump's Second Term Threatens to cause financial armageddon for everyone in America who did not and will not ever support him.

I don't know how I will be able to sleep well at night during most of Trump's second presidency.

His first presidency ended with the COVID-19 recession, which was one of if not the worst recession since the Great Depression.

His return to power already sparks catastrophic fears for about half the country:

  • Global Market Meltdown: Tariffs and trade wars ignite inflation, interest rate chaos.
  • Economic Collapse: Budget deficits skyrocket, debt ceiling crisis looms.
  • Financial Ruin: Savings wiped out, pensions threatened.

PERSONAL SURVIVAL UNDER THREAT

Future hangs in balance:

  • Job Loss: Mass layoffs, unemployment soaring.
  • Healthcare Disaster: Access denied, medical emergencies unchecked.
  • Social Unrest: Division, protests, and chaos engulf America.

PROTECT YOURSELF

The only ways I generally know I might be able to stay vigilant:

  • Diversify Assets: Shield savings from market turmoil. I don't know how.
  • Emergency Funds: Prepare for financial shocks. I don't know how.
  • Staying Informed: Monitor economic alerts, adapt to changing landscape. I don't know how.

THE FUTURE IS UNCERTAIN

Trump's second term poses unprecedented risks.

Hell, now that Trump's presidency is poised to usher in the most Christian nationalist order in modern US history, I fear persecution everywhere simply for being Jewish, including at work and school.

I pray that I am wrong!

What about egg prices? I'm more worried about that since I eat a lot of eggs..

I'm already making a note. Taken from another user.

I don't think you have to worry too much about the markets in the long term. I agree that a recession is coming, but it was in the making way before Trump got elected. It is brought about by years of cheap credit, high debt, demographic changes and lack of productivity. Don't listen too much to the doomers on YouTube and be responsible with your finances.

What if Trump, MAGA, and all of their right-wing billionaire friends find a way or ways to steal my money?

The world is not just Trump and America. Diversify and do what the rest of the world has been doing. Ignore Trump with his buddies and invest in gold, international ETFs, etc. Don't live in a bubble!

Are you working in one of the 200+ agencies Elon wants to streamline?

Or are you in Trans - Carbon neutral - Gender studies?

Then yes, probably have to look for another job. You'll probably have 1+ years wages to tie you through to the next job.

The stock market and bitcoin are at all time highs, after Trump's election... So you can see what the financial system thinks of his 2nd term.

You mean, steal your money at an even higher rate than current FED/bankers? You probably lose half your money every 10 years through inflation.

We're in luck though, since most Trump supporters voted for his pro-bitcoin policies, the only digital inflation-proof store of value.

And also, they keep announcing planned tax cuts. You'll probably pay less tax...

If we all lose our jobs and go broke under Trump, then I will say "I told you so."

Bitcoin is a total scam.

Stop catastrophizing

I second this.

You are posting about this issue in increasingly unhinged ways that warrant a visit to a therapists office.

You remind me of a paranoid schizophrenic who believes that there’s some sort of conspiracy against him.

My bank account begs to differ. I already quit my "safe" job more than a year ago. Look how long ago I mentioned MSTR (Microstrategy) in my investments, and see the price appreciation since then.

Yes, if I missed the train I probably would be bitter, angry and paranoid, but would also identify and invest in the next promising technology.

Or AT LEAST start reading up on bitcoin, and watch videos on it. Do you want to keep repeating the mantra "Bitcoin is a total scam" for the next 50 years? I give it a year max until your beloved MSM will explain it to you... But then, everyone will be in on it.

Do you think Blackrock and the other however many ETFs are in the business of losing money? See how Larry Fink's opinion has changed in the last year (CEO of Blackrock). If you trust traditional finance more than our lord and savior, archangel Michael Saylor.

PS. You haven't missed the Bitcoin train... In a few years it'll be 1mil per coin.
